Starcraft 2 will jump out of your monitor with 3D

I’m fairly sure that all of the creative people that actually built and designed – Diablo – Warcraft – and Starcraft have left Blizzard -apparently they hated the direction the monster was moving towards…WOW. I know people will say…”they weren’t the only designers in the company”, true…but they were the key figures that built those amazing games, but in the end that meant nothing to Blizzard, because money matters – fuck people. The Diablo was a minor masterpiece.

and who said blizzard is going down hill?! what about SC2 and Diablo3?

They still have first to come out. Then we will see if the company is still worth cheering for, like in the past.
well even a big company like Blizzard can loose a lot of consumers and money if the decisins they do are not good.

And many of the things I heard from them recently gave me enough reason to loose respect from them. Similar to Ubisoft with its DRM idea.

I mean there was no technical reason to not use a LAN modus with SC2 for example

Some health warnings for 3d television…

Code:
*Viewing in 3D mode may also cause motion sickness, perceptual after effects, disorientation, eye strain, and decreased postural stability. It is recommended that users take frequent breaks to lessen the likelihood of these effects. If you have any of the above symptoms, immediately discontinue use of this device and do not resume until the symptoms have subsided.

*We do not recommend watching 3D if you are in bad physical condition, need sleep or have been drinking alcohol.
Watching TV while sitting too close to the screen for an extended period of time may damage your eyesight. The ideal viewing distance should be at least three times the height of the TV screen. It is recommended that the viewer's eyes are level with the screen.

I see a class action in the making…some dick after playing some 3d game will probably plow their car into a bunch of school kiddies. The problem might be that over time the brain will retrain itself and confuse our normal perception of depth. When you hear about long term blind people regaining their sight through some operation, almost all of them suffer from depth confusion - where something that is actually distant, to them just looks small but near.

i bet the same can be is said about close door fast First person games, those mazes can be disorientating and easily cause sea sickness, i know at least two guys who are not equipped to deal with it.
and as i recall its the same thing about depth perception, unless you take a break once in while and look in the distance you can are likely to have problems after prolonged times of being glued to the screen.

Their reason is likely not a technical one, but that doesn't necessarily mean it's not a good one.

their reason is obvious, pirates.

its will not help them as for SC2 i give a week for servers emulators to show up but still this way they dont have to support or care about anyone or anything that is not connected directly to their battle net.

I think the more important reason is that it might very well help them in legal battles against copyright infringers. The LAN mode is what provided the loophole that lead to them losing a previous such lawsuit.

no offense, but you probably have no idea the effort behind making am emu server. even if someone told you, you wouldn't know what you just heard.

1 week for a legitimate SC2 emu? you disrespect. if you know someone who has the skills and knowledge equal to X known lone prodigy, say it. DON'T TELL US IN GENERAL THAT IN A WEEK IT CAN BE EMULATED.

you forgetting that SC2 had an open beta and that already more than one server emulator projects in prgoress... (and many many other things was hacked) plus many such huge release, was leaked before hand, so in my book a week after the official release is more than just optimistic.

plus there is a nation of crazy Korean behind it ...
