StarWArs Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith----Offical tittle

I think lucas just had a hardon for having revenge in a tittle.

His origonal tittle for Return of the Jedi was 'Revenge of the Jedi' afterall, and he's wanted a revenge tittle since then.

I just hope he's smart enough not to do the screenplay for the next three movies. If we're lucky maybe the bastard will keel over, and Lucasfilm can do things like "innovate."

Thank you Jesus.

Although, if General Grievous is anything like how he was presented in the Clone Wars cartoon it'll be worth watching. What with all the ass-kicking.

Will Anakin get really beat up in this one so he is "more machine than man"? It would be worth it just to see that whiny actor get the crap kicked out of him.

The new film is supposed to act as a direct segue into A New Hope. It could be assumed that Anakin becomes more and more machine as the movie progresses.

Well I had heard some time ago that he sold the rights to do the next three... with a possible forth... to a guy that helped write Ep 2 & 3.

What do I think?

The original Trilogy was great.... this new one.. has a lot of George being so full of himself, the whites of his eyes are turning brown. It just isn't the same... it is more of a "Hey look at what we can do!" then being the pure wonder that was the original Star Wars Trilogy...

I just hope IF this guy DOES make Eps 7,8,9 and maybe 10.. that he improves it.. instead of just hoping Star Wars fans are fools who will follow the name anywhere.

whohoho triple post :)

anyhow, my thoughts about this issue:

the original trilogy was pretty sweet, but the new once have lost their 'touch'. the feeling of the first 3 is just gone and i dont expect it to be back anytime soon...

"General Grievous"? That's an even lamer name than "Count Dooku" (played by Count Dracula).

Actualy, Anikan has a little acident with Lava near the end if the film at the end of a approx. 12 minuite saber dual with ObiWan

Grevious is going to be a bit more realistic in the film. The shots of him so far on spoiler fourms look badass.

What, they want to make another three episodes? Noooo!!!

It would be much better if they made a movie based on KotOR, or a similar story set in the turbulent days of the Old Republic. I wouldn't mind a movie set during Exar Kun's reign, either. But another three episodes? Stupid. Uninteresting. This whole expanded universe plot with Palpatine's clones is boring and contrived. Not to mention that nobody can capture characters from the old trilogy better than the original cast.

Actually, the post-Palpatine world is very interesting. The entire political scene of the Empire degenerates into a Machiavellian political drama. All the while the Empire has to face the growing power of the New Republic, which is now powerful enough to operate in the open. Add a new alien menace and the rebirth of the Jedi, and the whole thing becomes ten times more interesting than the original trilogy and the new sacks of crap.

This is, of course, mostly due to the fact that all of this was fleshed out by independant writers. Who, individually, have more creativity in their pinky fingers than Lucas has ever had.

Star Wars itself was practically an English Project with a budget. Lucas just took everything that made myths, legends, and epics interesting and set it in the future. I mean, seriously, Han Solo? SOLO? Comeon.

I remember the Marvel version of it, with the Zeltrons, Nagai, Tof and stuff. I don't suppose any of that made it into what passes as pseudo-canon these days (and I don't doubt the pinky finger theory). KotOR had more Star Wars atmosphere in it than the last two movies put together.

Actualy, the sequel trilogy (episodes 7-9) would likley be many years after ROTJ, with a new cast.

Personaly, I thinlk the SW expanded universe took a nosedice after the newjediorder novels came out. They dont even bother to get the writers to read more than a few previous SW books in some cases, which results in a fucked up book series with characthers out of characther.

I've always hoped that they would make sequels to the original trilogy... Just thought that'd make a much better movie.

I've read a "story outline" of episode 3 and, I tell you now, it sucks.
