Stupid fallout experiences...

Hah, Gauss rifle? That's doing it the easy way. I only had a sniper rifle and a plasma rifle with me when I did that. Like I said, this was the first or second time I played Fallout 2, so how the heck was I supposed to know that power armor and energy weapons don't go well?
the easy path is a good one.... i tried to go in guns blazing but it didnt work out to well for me,the bozar can get the job done in navarro though...

in modoc ,my characters charisma wasn't that high and i couldn't get Miria to have sex with my character.every time i tried it Grisham came there and started a fight.so i decided to kill Grisham with Stimpacks .i did so and after i went to miria again the game crashed

I drove to so many places i could with my car, and then left it in the desert. Becouse i didint know i could refuel it.

When I encountered the Vorpal Rat Cave, I used the Holy Hand Grenade then the Grenade Missed and landed beside me and my Party killing me and all the Knights

Random Encounter + Critical Miss causing me to drop the .223 pistol * a Rocket to the face / Sliding all the way onto the exit grid = Reload

After taking on Horrigan, I left the Oil Rig and watched its blowing animation, when I realized that I forgot Marcus behind!!!
Once on the shore, though, I went back to the Tanker control room, and drove the tanker back to the Oil Rig that surprisingly was still there, with the timer counting less than 4 mins to meltdown.I took Marcus and got the hell outta there!

Okay, so you know the homesteaders and their annoying little children? Well one of the little tykes threw a rock at me and did 1 damage. So i picked up the rock and threw it back. Aimed shot to the head with a 2% chance to hit. The rock hit the kid in the head for a critical, killing him. I hadn't saved in forever so I cheesed it to the exit grid.

Yeah, awesome sig, and the same happened to me in V15, but with a molerat.

Was this aimed in my general direction? If so...cool! I seem to be very good at writing sigs for some reason. One of mine even got ripped off by a member of a forum that I frequent, and used in a forum where I hadn't been until more recently.

Also: Yea, TNT....I think almost everyone has a TNT-related story about Fallout. Usually involving a low Demolitions skill and ending in one dying in tiny pieces.

ahahah great story!

Happened something similar to me with tnt (i didn't realize at first you had to "drop" it !)

I drove the car to NCR in fallout two and choose to enter the city by lynettes office
I forgot about the weapons law and the guards started there moanin and I panicked and ran into lynettes building.
Then the guards started shootin so I just loaded it.

Oh and another stupid thing which im stuck out now is in navarro. I didnt know there was a peacefull way in, I've killed half the guards but when they gang up im killed.

At the Enclave base, because i had limit to what i was carrying, so when i was looting the base, i could only carry the ammunitions, and so I carried my favourite weapon (YK43B Pulse Rifle).

When Frank Horrigan had 100 HP left (I did not have the presidential access card), I had a critical miss and my Pulse Rifle blew up (nasty considering that it was the only weapon i possessed). Looked in my inventory, it was Oh!!! a... 10mm Submachine Gun!!!. Took that out, after about 10 Critical hits of 1 damage each, I died....

He probably died laughing...

From then on, I carry 2 Pulse Rifles on me when i am in the Enclave

C4 and the president

I was in the Enclave Presidential area and got 2 C4s on me; on for the president and other for the reactor (beause i talk the FEV guy), after releasing the FEV vírus in the air, was time for the president. Put one C4 in its back... 49 damage! With him with only 1hp left, i've planted my last C4. BOOM! President is dead!!! But, OH! I've no more C4 left! Back to barracks!!!!

The first time I played fallout 2 I didn't use the presidential card to make the turrets attack horrigan and I didn't talk to the soldiers for help, so there I was, all alone fighting Frank and the Turrets with a Bazooka and a Turbo Plasma Rifle. I think that the turrets killed me more than frank, freaking critical turret hits. I hate them.

In FO I wanted to do the Military Base together with Ian, Tycho, Katja and (ofcourse) dogmeat, but I accidentally killed Ian, Tycho and Dogmeat in the second shot with my Gatling Laser. Only Katja survived my infernal rage:P

Playing with a "Dumb" character I went to the new reno arms basement and started a conversation with Algernon, and somehow my character and Algernon started to shoot each other with imaginary bullets that came out of their fingers, but thats not all... somehow Algernon was hit by one of those imaginary bullets and died. :)

The most stupid experience I have had in Fallout so far is definitely the time I "accidently" hit Vic with my minigun. He died instantly and horribly. Well, it was that idiot's fault for getting in the way! One of these days NPCs will realize that when a guy in huge armor, carrying a minigun, aims that thing at an enemy, you DO NOT RUN IN HIS LINE OF FIRE.

This thread made me laugh so hard. The people at work here were wondering what the hell I was doing :D.

A stupid experience I had was when playing the game for one of the first times. I went all the way to the Glow to become a BOS initate. I was unable to figure out what the hell I could actually do there, except looking at the huge hole in the ground. So I just went back to the BOS (carying with me nothing but a huge dose of radiation) where they refused to let me enter as I didn't have any proof of actually going there. Walked 1000 miles and back through the wasteland for nothing :D.

Later I read in a walkthrough that I had to use a rope to enter the hole. And so I did. I went through the entire Glow without taking any RadX (didn't find any yet...), taking enormous amounts of radiation. Taking the two Rad-Aways I found down there didn't help much, as after exiting to the world map I immediately died.

Oh, and the first time I entered Necropolis I quickly quit the city as there were ghouls on the surface attacking me (making me think the entire population would be like that). Couldn't understand why on earth the caravan I joined wanted to go there in the first place!

Yes, Fallout was actually the first RPG I ever played, so I had some difficulties :D.

This happened literally seconds ago.

I was in the rat caves in Klamath, in the upper level trying to pick the door the Feul Injector for the car. I jammed the lock so I was going to use the TNT to blow up the door. Now, I'm currently at my friend's house using my laptop to play, while he's playing Halo. I set the timer for ten seconds, drop the TNT and run around a corner.

I get distracted by something going on on the TV, and think I hear the TNT go off (My volume is low since I'm trying to be considerate and I don't need to hear to play FO). I look back at my screen and see the door is still standing, so I run over to see why, only to have the TNT, which never went off, blow up as I'm two steps from the door.

 4 Me.
