I'd personally avoid any epic plans like counting how many times PC could possibly visit the Sub, how many bad n' ugly bosses to cram in, or even putting it to the very centre of the universe (area/location).

Nothing like that. I liked the glow because of the size of it, it felt like you were exploring and it had a back story, so you could imagine what it was like before the war and picture the people in it. When i saw the sub i thought of something similar. Have the 3rd level toxic/radioactive so you need power armor, but have all the good gear down there, as well as most quest objectives.

Regardless of how many times you visit it, even if it is just the once, it would be cool to have a large area to pick around in, with holodisks from dying crew, system logs outlining what happened as systems failed etc. Or you could do what other people have suggested, have a city internally. Hell, even make it crewed and operational for all i care, just say its a relic from the war that has been commandeered and repaired by the enclave and you have to disable it to prevent the launch of its missiles on anything heading to the oil rig.

That said, i understand the work involved with that and im sure it will be fantastic regardless, but such a location does lend itself to a variety of implementations varying between fantastically impracticable or very simple.
 
Great idea Conti. Maybe the we can call Sub Town. It is inhabited by Nazi Ghost Zombies, who need element 115 for their buried UFO. They need it to power the gravity drive, so they can join the other zombie Ghosts in the sky.
 
Sub Town? I'd call it Ghost Ship, since all sailors are dead - they drowned, but they don't know about it. They're Nazi Dwarf-Ghost Zombies now (three pixels for each critter will be enough). The player's role will be to convince them to the fact that they're dead and abandon their plans of recovering element 115 (high speech). Good end: they're going to the Nazi Dwarf Heaven. If player will fail (low speech) they'll turn him into even smaller Nazi Dwarf-Ghost Zombie (one pixel critter). Bad end: you lose, the world is doomed, Nazi Dwarf-Ghost Zombies in their Dwarf UFOs are destroying the Earth.
 
NPC "Rarrr I am a Nazi Ghost Dwarf Zombie. I don't even know you and you have not said a thing yet, but I am going to give you quest to find element 115 for us"

PC "I accept the quest. This is good game design. Can I haz epic loot?"

NPC "Yes, you can has a Vrill craft to explore the world in."

PC "Yay! Fallout 3 is the best game ever"

With half sub sunk into the sand with a inclination.
Although i would rather the city being outside of it and not on the inside. In the end it would be a city just like SF, but instead of a tanker, a sub.

But only insofar as they are mutant flying nazi turtles and mutant lolcatz, otherwise it would break the setting and look ugly.
 
Can anyone tell me if the Submarine will have more than one level for the player character to investigate! If yes - then I better get to work and finish this baby, if no - then I better get to work and finish this baby, but either way I’m not sure if the underwater version - (the sub embedded in the sand and rocks on the bottom of the ocean), will ever make it for a RP release. Still I will build it and show the people, if you like it I will ask Killap to release it in a future RP build. But be warned Conti gets the final approval, because it’s only fair that the one who built the sub artwork should have the final say…

Of course everyone wants to explore whole sub, including walk in PA on the sea floor.

Nah, if you're happy from the results then I'll be happy too. No need to ask me about final word or something like that. I wrote somewhere "please don't modify this FRMs" - it's no longer valid - do whatever you want with subbie, even Flying Nazi Dwarf Turtles :aiee:
