Talking heads, What the deal?

i think dogmeat shud be a talking head. Its like such a significant character in the FO series

I honestly did wish you could speak to him so you could have commands like "Stay here boy!" which would essentially leave him there til you came back.

Yeah, or "Fetch the stick, boy!". Or the proverbial "Bite that fucker's balls off, boy!". Or my personal favorite: "Suck this cock, boy!".
 
I cant decide whether thats sarcastic or not...the commands themselves are unrealistic, but the words would make for funny writing. You could tell Dogmeat those things and he'd "Turn his head at an odd angle and stare at you."
