TeamX documents Russian to English translation

Hello,

several times, I stumbled upon documents in Russian and teamx.ru (and Google for the query didn't find any English equivalent). Is there anybody who knows about translation / can translate some TeamX documents?

might be interesting. Some parts of the documents are at NMA or elsewhere, but these are extremely well structured (from what I can get from BabelFish). I wish they used normal letters, I could learn to read that pretty quickly if it wasn't Azbuka...

Yes, interesting stuff. And yes, google can translate those pages. Type whole adresses in google search. Go to "Translate this page", it worked for me. :salute: Well, google can't translate scripts and text from pictures as you already know. I find useful that hex edit stuff but you have a lot of programs for editing critters, items... for me it's nothing new. :drunk:

This one is new for me (at least because it's - probably - very well written). I have never seen anywhere else such structure (quite useful for debugging).
 
My Russian isn't all that good yet, but Google's translations are a decent start, so I'll see what I can do with them. Might still sound a little funny, but hopefully it will be understandable.
 
There isn't a similar tutorial on critter sounds, I'm afraid, but I expect it uses a similar system.

Pages will be added here as I finish them. I'll start with the small files that can be done in one sitting and work my way up through the larger ones.


Weapon sounds
 
I'll work on that one next, though it might take a while - I need to modify the images, and my class will keep me busy for the next few days. I don't really have any experience working with the files, so let me know if there are any gratuitous errors.

MAPS.TXT File format
 
I started a Wiki I will update it when I get time.

I don't know how to make WIKI tables, could use a hand on: GCD, Pal and RIX
 
I haven't forgotten about this project. I've just been caught up in a marathon of coding and haven't had the time to do any translating. That should ease up by this weekend, so I'll be able to put up more then.

I haven't dealt with wikis at all, so I'm afraid I can't help with the formatting there. You might need to convert it into unicode for the bits of russian text to show up; most of the files use the Cyrillic (Windows) encoding, but a few are KOI8-R.
