The 10mm pistol

I'm modeling it after this one. I know it doesn't look excactly the same as the inventory picture from Fallout but it makes a lot more sense.

Always fun to look into Fallout guns and try to figure out what the hell the parts are :)

Hmm..trigger guard, handle...stock...wtf! Barrel...chamber...automatic revolver with 15-bullets...wtf!

the hardboiled gun look like a semiauto and revolver with a pumpactionshotgun! not bad :) it like a Kinder Egg.

3D-modelling that pistol would be heroism.
I mean all those little thingies and thingamies... oh and that whatchamacallit on the side of the barrel. It's one big pain in the ass to model them precisely.

]A perfect type of cylinder is used in Calico gunshttp://world.guns.ru/smg/smg57-e.htm, which was later placed under the barrel in Bizon SMG http://world.guns.ru/smg/smg08-e.htm, so I don't think it's useful to invent something new. I'm sorry to say that, but (OMG!) 6 tubes, and only 4 rounds in a tube. To my mind, it's just a waste of space. Moreover, can you place much under the barrel? If it is strongly preferable to use a bolt-action rifle, it would be easier just to use the magazine feeding, as in the original. Or I completely miss the point?

off topic but... the guns used by the Helghast in the Killzone series use this kind of magazine, I tried to figure out how this would work(I didn't know that these actually existed), when I saw that smg, the one that looks just like the Helghast smg, almost exactly, I almost shat myself.

and perhaps the revolver uses the top and the magazine uses the bottom.

Yeah, your right, my mistake: I had forgoten exactly what kind of rifle it was. But isn't that a bolt action origionally like I thought?

What's this is this a gun? It's cool....

as for the earlier question about revolvers with more than 6 shots... how about basing your design on the magazine fed dardick revolver

sure the barrel looks like a aardvarks snout... but if you mixed the grip and cylinder with the front half of a desert eagle... it would look much like the 10mm (and work in a theoretical sense)

Considering the ammo capacity of 12, the way it plays, and very unambiguous in-game description, I would say that the 10mil is very clearly an autoloader with a weird thing on the side of it. The only evidence of the revolver theory is the appearance, which could be very easily written off, changed, or altered.

Actually, I've always love this gun simply because of the huge revolver piece. It just makes it so much cooler. I'm sure they designed for looks and function.

I've made Colt 6250 (based on F2 screenshots) model in 1:1 with PVC plastics.

Jesus that's detailed, would you consider making another? I would pay hard cash for one.

Do you mean monster like this?

or this?

It was simple 6-rounds revolver design (look at the screenshot with small drum), when developers started to work with game balance (uh-oh, it's too hard! We need to solve this. Hooray! Let it'll be automatic(!) revolver with 12(!!) 10-mm(!) rounds) without any changes in concept pictures and gun design. True mystery work.

I made 6- and 8-rounds drums, but 12-rounds looks too ugly.
