The Duntons (Again)

Mr.Mojo-Rising

First time out of the vault
Greetings,

I'm playing through FO2 for the first time, using the charismatic template char as a male. Anyhow, I completed Tor's quest, Rats, and Distiller quests in Kalmath. Next up are the Canyon and Smiley. I'm playing a goody two shoes, so I'm trying to kill the Duntons.
However, I'm having a hard time trying to do that. If I start a brawl with them in there 'room' the entire town gets involved. Even when I close all the doors around the area I plan to kill and loot them in ;> Any suggestions on how to do this?

Many Thanks!

-Mr. Mojo

P.S Any general tips would be welcome too >:>

You can take Torr's quest to guard the brahmin and the Dunton's will be on the grazing map. You can kill them there and no one will care.

actually I think I managed to kill them in the Dutton house. Lock the door and then kill them, go out of combat mood, and you should be ok. But I might be wrong. Don't take them out in the bar.

I tried to kill them in thier house after closing the doors but the citizens always found out about this. Hell, even this kids wanted my head on a stick. Good that I had the bozar.

heh,

I agree to that, every time I try killing them in their home I have children come after me ;> Though the funny thing is after I kill the Duntons and while the townsfolk attack me, my karma goes up from liked to idoloized. Also I've tried closing the doors, but when you attack them NPCs from 2 buildings over come after you :> I'm thinking about starting over just to kill them ;> (but I doubt it) Mhmmmmm, Spiked Knuckles.

There is always a possibility to plant C4 in them, but don't stay too close to them if you don't want to get covered with their blood... 8)

I never tried it though. But is there something valuable in their locked room?

A cat's paws magazine, some jerky and some more junk. Nothing special.

I kill they we I get Torr's Quest... I steal their Spiked Knuckles and start the combat. If you want infinity Knuckles, don't kill them. Just exit the town, and enter again... go to their house, start combat, and end the combat. Use the steal on them, and you will win 2 Knuckles every time you do that!!

OOHH  the knuckles from Duntons... every game I stole those, just for the cash. One I kept ofcourse :) , but you don't have to exit the town. Just enter and close combat, steal the knuckles, then again enter and close combat, and steal again...

The hollowed-out Radscorpion limbs in the shack by the brahmin has something to do with exposing the Duntons as the "bugmen."

Does anybody know if there's any way to expose them or were they left in as a part of an unfinished quest?

They are part of an unfinished quest.

the klamath's town folk speaks of "bug men" actually meaning enclave soldiers - the helm looks like an ant head. The bug limbs are probably for scaring torr away by acting like an enclave soldiers with limbs in hands.
But it's not implemented in the game and I think for a reason. The people should you attack then if return later in enclave armor
