Malkavian said:PS - Kharn's a wanker
Kharn said:True, plus I hear only non-l33t loser noobs don't have Gmail. They have no friends to invite them {Beats me likes a baby seal "cuz" I am STOOPID!} they have no friends and shit.
Kharn said:Oh c'mon, like it or not and understand it or not, what you call "techno" covers a wide range of music (tho' very definitely not "Reggea", what the hell is wrong with you Lost fer Life?), tho' Lost lists a very narrow and pretty stupid section of this genre. Ratty could probably name some better sub-genres.
Also, if you look at the entire schale, "Techno" and its sub-genres are more diverse than that of Metal. Must be the whole "Techno is more popular" thing, which stimulates more ranges.
I aggree you are sassy... But some techno isn't bad, there's multiple styles of techno, the most popular of which is Hard Techno, there is a lot of soft techno though.Malkavian said:I'm so sassy it'll make you want to try a new shampoo.
Why don't you stop having sex with Kilus then?Malkavian said:That's okay, I pretty much despise anything that gives me a headache.

Perfectly said ...Ratty said:Uh, as for "dance" music (note that term "dance" music is (mostly incorrectly) used to denote most forms of electronic music), the diversity is huge. First of all, don't judge the entire genre by what trance/dance/techno you hear on radio/TV - what you hear is probably just commerce, and thus only a tiny fraction (and probably lower quality) of the scene. Also, commercial trends change very quickly, and sub-genres that were commercially popular for a few years go underground at some point, where they usually evolve into something wholly different (examples - happy hardcore, rave, jungle, UK breakbeat).
In addition to this, it's presumptuous to say that "all techno music sux" and "all techno music sounds da same", since there is tremendous diversity between various genres, and a person that listens to one type of dance music might hate the other. For example, I myself cant' stand club and jazz house, and I really don't understand who can listen to that shit. I'm a big fan of happy hardcore (yes, even commercial happy hardcore - Lownoise rocks, and you can blow me, Kharn) as well as various styles of gabba hardcore (something no-one in his right mind would listen to without a heavy dose of E, except for me of course), but I don't mind listening to good progressive trance, acid or similar "lightweight" stuff. Even techno-haters like you will occasionally find a song they enjoy, and it will usually be some happy commercial crap disdained by most underground snobs. Example: a friend of mine, who listens mostly to shitty pop, was absolutely enchanted by Mark 'Oh's Never Stop That Feeling 2001, a lame, high pitched hardcore-wannabe dance track ignored even by majority of the least picky commerce consumers.
That said, I'm off to listen to some Rank 1 - now that's good trance.
It's DJ SHoE, Energetic Aggressions Volume 4. IF you ever wanted to download some of it, good luck, it's not all that easy to find. If you really want to hear it IM me on MSN, or AIM... said:Give the name of the "band" and the song. It's not that stupid "fart song" right?
