The Force will finally be Unleashed upon the PC

Hmm I was looking froward when it was announced then came the news its console only. And now its coming to PC, nice. Come to think of it same thing with Mass Effect after receiving same answer in Bioware forum where mod told me Nope not gonna happen its console exclusive.
About the game its self can it really be worse then Jedi Academy? Besides im more interested what modding community can do to it.

So modders again have to fix a broken game?

They may be able to change the gameplay a little but not the bad plot.

As for Jedi Academy, it was perhaps a collection of loose missions but I rather liked it, still would have been better as an expansion pack to Outcast though.

Worth more a rental then a buy I'd say.
This. You're only going to get maybe 5 days out of it before it grows old. It's pretty fun to blow people away with absurdly overdone Force powers until you hit that point, though.

I read a magazine article that sums it up pretty well in a phrase. "Star Wars: The Force Mildly Contained". I mean it just gets so tired and the plot sucks. I will admit that at first it was kind of fun to throw storm troopers out into space and stuff but it could have been something better. They do give you all of these neat force powers and stuff but then they just throw a new enemy at you that's resistant to it so you just Lightsaber it to death or something and use a nifty force power as a flashy finisher that I really don't want to see for the 100th time.
I would have liked to have it more sandbox style. Land on a planet. Cause all sorts of trouble. Do free roam stuff. Play missions. That sort of thing. Have it span planets. Something. I dunno. Making game ideas is hard. Maybe have it take place in a "right now in a galaxy far far away" era. I dunno if that scenario has even been touched on yet.

I bought it on PS3-release and was pretty disappointed at first.
Problem is, that I expected something more akin to the Jedi Knight games.
Once I came to terms with the fact that it basically is just a SW-God of War clone I was able to enjoy it.

Still waiting on that new Jedi Knight game tho'...

Indeed sir, I remember love love loving Jedi Knight: Outcast. The story, the gameplay all top notch. Since then about the only one that interested and entertained me was KOTOR 1 and 2. The barrage of games that came out after could suck an egg as they were not even worth pirating.
