I like quests more advanced than 'shoot dude in face'.

But Borderlands are 1st person Shooters. They are not RPGs or anything else, they are just shooters.

I find the games boring because of that, but they are fun when you play with friends. Singleplayer it bores me to death though (I don't even have them installed).

Well, exactly, hence I don't like the games.

But trust me, ask your average console sod, and they'll call Borderlands an RPG.
