The Lonesome Road

The Suave Gambler

First time out of the vault
I was wandering today and decided to stand on top of the cars at "Canyon Wreckage". Holy shit theres a lot of wasteland behind there, but strangely, although the spray paint reads "The Divide" I don't see the Grand Canyon...

Thoughts?

I suggest you look it up on the Vault Wikia.
There are various geographical spots called a 'Divide', it does not necessarily have to be the Grand Canyon.

Looks like your right. The Great Western Divide does look pretty epic (even though its in california, a place that should have already been explored in FO1 or 2....

However, it appears that The Burned Man is getting his own DLC as well. So we might also see the Grand Canyon on the legion side of the Colorado.

I hope we do because that would be the only DLC with some interest in my eyes since the Legion really did not got enough attention in Fallout Vegas. Exploring a region controled area might give a lot of oportunities to see new aspects of the Legion. Like a usual town under their guard.

It is very unlikely that the wasteland will be unlocked in the DLC. It's much more to be expected that the DLC will send you to some new landscape instead. Therefore it doesn't matter what exactly is behind the barricade in the maingame.

New Vegas did seem to deliberately barricade certain areas (NCR Outpost) that they could always add content in to make the entirety of the map explorable later.

Also, I have to ask, does anyone have any idea on when the next DLC is coming out? It doesn't look like they're doing one about each 2 months like they did with F3.

which is sad because it feels like only half of the area is really used for the game ... particularly to the left of the map with those huge mountains. - I wish they would have expanded the desert a bit more. Vegas has made a good job on it but sadly not enough of it :(

But they will not. Sawyer even wrote about it.

Just because he said he didn't intentionally do it doesn't mean they won't take advantage of it. Also, from what hes saying it appears that he is speaking of the areas beyond the Nellis Air, south of searchlight airport, east of The Fort, etc.

He means the areas outside of the playable map, which is also the part in the north west and south west, etc.
