The Official Fallout JRPG Demake

Note that they present it as: "What would Fallout look like if ..."

Yeah, just after loading I realised what was it actually about, since I'm stupid enough not to read posts...

Yeah it's Fallout 3 rather than Fallout 1.

But then there wouldn't be much point in de-making a 2D turn-based RPG into a lower-resolution turn-based RPG. It would just be Fallout 1 with more pixels and worse sprites and no isometric perspective.

Fair enough, but at least don't act like "Fallout" should be automatically synonymous with Fallout 3.

Amen to this.

Bump.

Wait, can you bump things here? Probably not. Let me clarify:

This is what I, also, believe to be the truth.

In the future ... maybe 10 years from now when we have Fallout 6 or Fallout 7 from Bethesda ... does anyone believe that someone will remember Interplay ... where Fallout came from. Or what kind of RPG it really was ...

*Le sigh*

Now if they remade it in the Fallout 1/2 engine, I'd be quite interested.

Everything's fine as long as we remember it.

this forum sure slowly starts to feel like the members of the apocalypse. Or maybe more like the "original" Brotherhood. Someone has to keep and defend all those knowledge huh

I hope that some people branch out from NMA and become like the Brotherhood of FO3, running around and saving old ladies' cats from trees. Boy would that be funny... ha... ha... ... ha...

Of course it will be remembered IF there are people to tell the new gamers where the series actually started.

Take the Star Wars Jedi Knight series, few remember that everything started with Dark Forces way back in 1995 (very fun game, BTW).
On the other hand, C&C is always remembered for the first instance and the first Red Alert.

Don't be too cranky, like Moira said.
Ooops...

It wont help when all the kids think that Fallout 1 is ugly and turn based combat is boring.

Why? How would that change your, mine, or the opinion of all the guys/gals loving Fallout 1/2 for what it is?

Sorry I meant it wont help kids of the new fallout's remember the greatness of the old ones if most think the ones made by Interplay are boring and we are just looking back at them with rose colored glasses.

I'm not sure what Fallout would have looked like in 1987, but I sure know what it looked like in 1988. Sometimes I want to explode those Bethesda guys like a blood sausage!
