The Rise and Fall of Sid Meier's Civilization

As long as I get to lay waist to the lands of Secular Humanists, Communists and Fascists while my nearly all powerful Christian Fundementalist Germany weilds total control over the world, I will be happy.
 
Dammit, this sucks.

If I added up all the time I've played on Civ games since their creation, and put it into another hobby, I'd be a fucking master at painting, or music or sport or some shit. And I don't consider that a waste at all.:D

Dumbing down Civ is a pretty bad idea, I reckon. They've always been big sellers, not because they appeal to a wide audience, but because it has a large and content fan base. Dumbing it down is just going to piss them off, and it's still not going to appeal to all the zerg rushers (kekekekekeke) out there.

Ah well, still got Civ 3. It's more than adequate for my purposes.

I remember trying that...I, I mean "we" got ass-raped by the Koreans.

Whats especially lame is that I am ethnically German so the whole hard-headedness and aptitute for scientific progress fit me perfectly...

I guess, like in WWII, the high quality of German machinery is no match for the mass production of an average quality society.

Blah I'm just talking out of my ass...

Civilization 2 was a bit unbalanced when it came to the Wonders in my opinion. For instance, whoever gets Leonardo's Workshop will completely dominate the next 300 years or so. I also liked the emphasis on trade and diplomacy in Civ 3, found it a much more viable method of playing than in previous games.
 
There's no more specific governments. That is, you can't revolt and chose Democracy or fight a Communist nation. Instead it's a bunch of checks and balances based around religion or some nonsense.
