It's not actually the writing from the companion quest which never got recorded. The quest is just one which was actually meant to be in the Institute.
Mind you, it's so bad you could argue it's true to Fallout 4 as it would have been written.

She's still ugly, in fact, the weird face looks like a woman that is a bit too old to be a goth girl in state of rigot mortis. it's just that those nipples are so perky that she could stab someone with them. The "bride" dress has her 60% naked and the other one looks like Jessica from RE:Revelations
I still hold that the best companion is Dogmeat "Dog" Dogmeat. Looks cute, doesn't wear shitty clothes that makes him look like a twat, has some cute animations, has actually unique behaviour at least in combat and has more gameplay functions than any of the others. And it's not like carrying a mental patient around.
Well, he doesn't a passive stats and XP gain bonus that is a no-brainer in any place at any moment with little justification for how it works and how you get there. Shucks.

Being a Synth... Thinking about a plot...
So Shauns parents die. He uses his DNA, to create his father/mother that is also his genetical offspring. Preston would be secret Institute member that de-bugs you from side quests with setllement helping. Dialogue wheel would be there to give you illusion of choice. Also Shaun was lazy fuck, so you always sound bored and you always have 4 options.
It would remove most of the creep from Magnolias, Curies and Danses romance.
You would be banging genetical siblings, not grandchildren.
