The State Of Fallout, What Does it mean going forward and Letting Go

Ah, good point. We probably won't get another good "official" Fallout, with fan-made games, there are huge possibilities. Knowing Bethesda, they'd probably send their lawyers after the authors. Seriously, they fucking sued a company for using "Scrolls" as the name for a game. I'm not sure, but fan-made games would be classified as fair use (assuming the authors aren't trying to make money off it), right?

I hope so 'cause I'd love to see a fan made version of radiosity's fo3 reconstruction project.

1, 2, Tactics and, New Vegas.

Oh I didn't enjoy tactics. I wouldn't say it's a bad game or anything just not my cup of tea. Didn't feel like fallout to me. At all. Then there's the questionable lore... but then fallout 2 arguably had more of that...

Eh I've moved on but that doesn't mean I'm forgetting about Fallout 1 and 2. Cliche as it is life is too short to have a anti-Bethesda brigade, it's okay to shit on their games every now and again but for me all the Fallout criticizing has become boring and depressing for me and the Codex has made me realize shitting on all bad games as well as listening to other people doing it is a ton of fun.
I love Fallout 1 and to a lesser extent 2 but it's time to move on don't you think?
Yes but no. I mean, I just fuckin' got here, man. Lemme have my fun for a while. I tend to stay butthurt anyway. I may never stop. :aiee:

4 good games?
Fallout
Fallout 2
Fallout Tactics
Fallout New Vegas

Those are the canonical games to me at least.

...but it's time to move on don't you think?
Like I said before, I just wished there was something to move on to. I mean, if I enjoy a modern shooter with all its blood-stained screen goodness then I got tons of games to choose from. If I enjoy RTS' I got games to choose from. But Fallout? Fallout is pretty damn unique. There are other cRPG's out there, sure, but none of them can replace Fallout.

So while I've moved on I haven't moved on 'to' something.

I tend to stay butthurt anyway.
Stretch a butt long enough and it'll stop hurting.

Oh fuck! A Lovecraft RPG, I've been waiting forever for one of these, fucking thank you snake.
How didn't I know about this? Thanks Snake!

EDIT: Just voted for it on Steam's Green Light:

No problem guys, just trying to liven everyone up with stuff to look forward to after everything going on as of late. Could really use good news around here, take our minds off the gloom.

Can some game currently under crowd-funding process count to be look forward into?
There's Krai Mira, in Early Access on Steam and has been 160% funded on Kickstarter, you guys know this game

And then there's InSomnia, a retro-futuristic RPG. Not exactly post-apocalyptic, but just want to mention it since it's retro-futuristic. One's things weird about this game, however, that it was supposedly funded back in 2014, yet it made another Kickstarter attempt right now, currently ~60% funded with 13 days to go. I can't say much about it, though, since I haven't do much research about this game and why it's undergoing another crowd-funding.

And now, although not a post-apocalyptic at all, it's a Sci-fi Space RPG, and supposedly the second game in the series; Consortium: The Tower. I haven't tried the first game, but the gameplay video of this second game looks promising. It has just been successfully funded 2 days ago, with 116% funded on fig.

How could I have forgotten Krai Mira...

I had never heard of InSomnia. :aiee:

Another couple of games into my list. :postviper:

I played the first Consortium game (got it for free on some STEAM promotion or something) but never beat it (I think I got stuck trying to find who did something *no spoilers*), but I played it when I was really depressed so now I never feel like playing it again because I feel a bit depressed when I think about playing that game still :-(.

Thanks for the suggestions :ok:
