The true nature of the Master (READ THIS!)

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
Guess who was with Rich Grey and Harold in that ill-fated expedition to the Mariposa facility? Francine, a WOMAN, and Mark, a MAN. Remember the voices of Master? Kind woman's voice, aggressive man's voice, and intelligent man's voice. I think it's safe to extrapolate that the woman is Francine, the intel. man is Grey, of course, and the aggressive man is Mark.

Remember the Master's log where he found that if two creatures fell into the vats, they emerge as one?

Now, how could they all end up in the Vats?

Grey fell right into them, but what about Mark and Francine? Francine was probably wounded, and Mark was probably caught by robots. Harold was probably mistaken for the dead and dragged outside, to the desert.

What happened next?

Good question. Was it the robots who threw Mark and Francine to the Vats? Why did they do that? Could it be that they were still running on old program to catch all living things and dip them? Did Maxson forgot to turn them off after leaving the facility with all personnel? OR was it the scientists (who were civilian personnel, and left behind, as stated in the official notice holodisk - if any were still alive) who turned it on, for whatever reasons? Could it be that they attempted to turn themselves into supermutant creatures? If so, what happened to them?

And who was Harold? Was his mutation into a ghoul a result of partial exposure to FEV virus (on the robots' manipulators?), and if so, does FEV really has something to do with the mutations of the citizens of Necropolis Vault (no, I don't believe everything Chris Taylor told me, but he was right on few occasions nobody could knew)? And if it did, was it somehow the result of the scientists' mysterious mad plan?

"I agree with you but there comes a fuckin point i dont know who roquirbo thinks he is but I at least you didnt really criticize me and i appreciate that i hate people who fuck with my ideas when i didnt say shit to em and yes he is the kind of guy i would take a scalpel tear his head open the take an hammer use the end to samsh through the medulla and use the nail pull as a pry to pull back the top of the skull revealing a brain (small but brain nontheless)and take desert eagle magnum and blow it through his fucking spine as he still breath and then rip out his heart and show him how black it is before he dies but as you said thats illegal well cya"

My friend, I don't believe that's what happened, for this reason:

When asked by the Vault Dweller if he examined the base (Mariposa) closely, Harold says: "We got pretty far inside. Wasn't a lot of us left by then. Grey, me and couple of others...One of them robots got Francine. Mark was wounded, sent him back to the surface. Then it was just me and Grey..."

If you accept that as truth, then Francine was killed, and Mark disappeared shortly after.

According to this excerpt from Richard Grey's audio diary, that isn't what occurred.:

"The strangest thing is happening to the animals. They actually become smarter and more aware of their surroundings. I dipped a dog and a rat at the same time today, and they were fused together. It's not quite two creatures anymore, but it's more than one."

This clearly implies that Grey was outside the Vats when his experiment took place, as were the dog and the rat. Back to the drawing board... :)

She could be under the fallen debris, wounded, maybe mortally. If Harold SAW her being shot (if they WERE shooting) by a robot, it doesn't mean that she actually WAS dead. And if Mark was SENT up to the surface UNESCORTED, he could be easily intercepted.

Uh... Yes... But when he fell in he was inside the vats, right?

Even that is kinda pointles, APTYP...

The theory is nice, but you might notice Richard still has one mind in the beginning of his logs. As he goes on, AFTER devouring one pure human and several mutated humans, he starts referring to himself as "we". All the minds merged into one express themselves into three voices, probably the three dominant ones (one woman and passionate, one male and agressive, one from the computer side of his collective mind, which is cold and without passion, compaired to the others)
