So, how can we stop the evil rich people before it's too late?
 
Small businesses and socialism, turn the internet into a socialized,government run network like transportation in some countries.

Socialized medicine for everyone.

Globalized education.

Socialized energy supply, everyone gets their own windmills and solar panels from paying taxes.

Effective and regulated tax system.

Socialized food/water supply.

Turn laws into local affairs like a confederacy, weaken central government power.

Make the U.N. the only military force on the planet, abolish nuclear weapons, abolish any weapon that a citizen cannot own his/herself.

Give everyone an equal playing field, without forced surpression.

Communism done right with alterations basically.
 
Communism only works on paper unfortunately. As they say, power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Seriously, just look at places in the world that tried to do something similar (I'm Chilean, so use that as an example), and the trouble that ensues...

No "system" is perfect or ideal, because the asshole at the top is likely to fuck it up.
 
The problem is that a RL political system must take flaws of human nature into account - i.e. it must work with imperfect politicians.
An attempt to create a perfect system has to fail and get derailed at some point, so the system has to work even if it's implemented imperfectly.

I think that The World of Tomorrow will be pure and beautiful. It will be unmarred by tyrany and injustice. It will be a world of peace and harmony :) .
 
What global doom? The world isn't ending tomorrow.

I believe the World of Tomorrow will be whatever I order my Legions of Doom to trample its bloody pulp into.

Remember, citizen. You're either with us, or against humanity.

And seriously, the World of Tomorrow will probably be the same as today. It'll prolly be a tad colder and with a bit less light. It's gonna be Monday so maybe there'll be a bit more traffic. I just hope I won't wake up with a hangover or that nobody will call me on my cell phone while I'm sleeping.

Now seriously - the world will end up a war-torn and ravaged place, because the price of alcohol \ cigarretes will increase, while the quality of porn movies will decrease DRASTICALLY (compare the movies from 70s or 80s to those made today). Or it will be censored. Either way we're doomed.
