el_Prez]Weber State is a nice university but Utah takes it deep.
You don't need to tell me. The political and religious climate here is awful. If it weren't for my job, college, and the mountains, I'd be happily tucked away in Montana, Wyoming, or Alaska.

Not to mention that you can't get regular beer there. Also last call is midnight. How do they expect the average binge drinking college student to survive? If i went there I'd ride the bullet train after 3 weeks.

PhredBean, it's nice to meet a fellow Wildcat. Glad to see you're becoming an EMT, perhaps you can re-attach my severed finger one day.

If you're not LDS, (which I'm not) obviously it sucks to live here, for many reasons (third base takes awhile). You get over it though and all of that aside, it's a decent place to raise your kids

Bump because I'm curious.

So now anyone can join Facebook. I'm noticing more and more Europeans lately. Do people know about the site much abroad? Any other NMAers signed up? Should there be an NMA facebook group?

I had an account for a while but I didn't really find it all that useful until recently. I'm mostly happy to hear from people with whom I've lost contact for several years and had no other means of finding. It's also really useful if you want to find out information about someone you've just met and are curious about (like that one girl who turned out to be a lesbian).

Humm, a cuuuuute Vietnamese girl named Kimmy sucked me into creating an facebook account, all be it, I don't use it anymore. I enjoy myspace more.

I've got facebook. Very convenient way to keep track of ones friends me thinks.

I joined Facebook a couple of months ago, when my old Norwegian pen-pal invited me there. I had lost touch compeletely with her. It's very convenient, actually, now when I just graduated and all my friends are slowly drifting away.

Facebook lost its touch as soon as they let everyone join. It became the new myspace minus the customization and spam, give it a few months. Still its an easy way to break the ice with that cute chick from your political science class.

HA! You guys are fucking halerius, wasting so much time and energy on that stupid thing.

I've just blocked my workplace from accessing facebook.
Its a fucking epidemic. Half of the girls at work used to sit on it all day instead of doing real work. So being the asshole that I am, I blacklisted it on the VPN. There was almost a riot, and the funny part is that they demanded from the office manager to get it back.

Now I'm officially the most hated guy at work, and I'm lovin' it.

Hahaha, Sovz is the man.
Damn, why was I always under the impression that Sovz was a girl?????

Shite.

Do we actually have any girls visiting these boards?

LOL, one of them stopped coming to the site(katja's picture is still flowing around somewhere) and I am not sure about others.

Of course, Kharn/Brother None didn't believe that some of the posters in UV were female, so maybe we don't have female FO fans at all.

Agreed. Those high school kids are especially an epidemic. I thought it was a great idea to just allow people with .edu emails. Keeps the scum out. But yeah, now they're making into a myspace clone with all the (buggy) apps you can add on, and not too mention the increasing amount of ads on the main page.

I'm really not interested in making a huge presentation of myself on facebook, nor do I really look through everyone else's profile extensively. I just like the ability to easily get in touch with distant people (people that I actually know IRL) and it provides useful features if you're trying to get a group thing going. And, of course, I like it when girls look me up and get in touch with me.

... And also, yes, it's easier and more common to just say "college".
Heh, just put it down to regional differences.
In the UK, a college is attended before university (Usually age 16-18) or by older people (mature students) retraining for something vocational.

Really? In Australia, colleges are the residential services for universities. For example, my University has 3 residential complexes (or colleges), Menzies College, Glenn College and Chisholm College.
