Theories on the Name of RobCo's Mascot?

What do you think RobCo's mascot is called? For those who don't know what I'm talking about, he's the guy on the Pip-Boy 2000. Bethesda hasn't included the poor fellow in their games, instead using Vault Boy for everything because apparently Vault-Tec was the only company in existence. Riiight. Might be for the best though, they'd probably ruin him anyways.

I've always thought of him as the Pip Boy, perhaps sharing his name with one of RobCo's most iconic products.

I always saw that as being simply an older design of Vault Boy, from an older model before they "updated" his look like companies often do with their mascots. Look at him, same face, same general style, just different colors, hair and clothes. It's the same character. Just like this guy looks pretty different from this guy but both are still the same Mickey Mouse.

I just call him the Pip Boy. I'm guessing the reason Vault Boy is on the 3000 model is maybe because RobCo and Vault Tec started a joint venture and RobCo started making Pip boys just for vault inhabitants. Still I wish they kept that mascot.

Robby Robco?

More likely he is the Pip Bo. He was merged with the Vault Boy character at some point during the course of the many joint RobCo-Vault Tec ventures

that would make sense seeing as the vaults had robco tech in them. it would be a mutually beneficial merger

From The Vault:

"Vault Boy should not be confused with Pip-Boy which is the name of the personal information processor used as the game interface"

In FOT there was a (silly) special encounter with "The Pip Boy", for which the game was roundly ridiculed. The Pip Boy is what you wear. The mascot is Vault Boy. As far as I know he never appears in anything that is just Robco-related, only Vault-Tec.

Yes, I think we all know about that. I meant that RobCo's mascot should be called the 'Pip Boy', like the device. This is not to be confused with Vault Boy, Vault-Tec's mascot.

Originally I wondered why Bethesda didn't use the Vault Boy face as the 'pint sized slasher' mask.

Pipboy, is likely just called Pipboy; [derived from the Big Boy mascot from the restaurant chain].
