Thesis on FEV

I got it! It can't be radiation because that's not how it works in the real world, so it must be FEV! It HAS to be FEV, it couldn't be anything else because the only other explanation -- radiation -- is unrealistic! God damn developers sure are a smart bunch, I would never think they had enough time to spend hours and hours thinking about the world design when they had a deadline to meet! Only a genius can do that, and that's what Fallout developers are -- naturally.

This is why I don't care much for the Fallout Bible right here. Radiation making large monster critters has been part of 1950s sci-fi since the beginning. You can see it in everything from Them! to Godzilla. Just because it doesn't make sense in the real world that radiation would do this doesn't mean you have to take something like FEV and explain the inconsistancy away.

Up to this evening I thought there are still smart people left on NMA. Then welsh starts another flurry of his hippy threads, people start reiterating whatever they said in a thread directly below, blatantly ignoring subtle hints that maybe they don't have a fucking clue, and now you come up to me with this patronizing tone of yours, like I'm some fucking n00b who wandered in two months ago begging to get my ass kicked by OMFG VETERAN MOD KHARN THE BETRAYER.

Ha, you're definitely not. And I didn't mean to patronize you. But you attacked every participant in this thread outright with no clear provocation...

C'mon, APTYP, you're from back in the WebBBS days, if memory serves, and I've always respected you up to one level or another, even if I do keep confusing you with (A Player Type Called) Arthur.

Which is why I don't get why you take such a hostile stance to NMA. I know, it's not the NMA of old, when Rosh, Xotor and me ran the place with a steel fist, but places change. It's not like it changed into hippie-flurry-land where only Interplay-morons can run amock. It's softer, friendlier and, I suppose, less intelligent, but it's far from being just dumb-shit.

You forgot "The Incredible Shrinking Man"

It baffled me that Fallout 2, with all it's pulpy references, had 0 references to the Incredible Shrinking Man. (or did it?)

I feel like I must apologize for this. I really have been falling behind in the number of funny pics and titles lately, and the ass chewing sessions have been fewer. Of course, if a particular FOT modder continues to be a moron, it will get very amusing soon.

I was just watching the incredible shrinking man, and in the movie the gent was covered by insecticide then a couple of months later while on a boat he went through a radioactive cloud. Then as the doctor in the movie said the radiation changed the insecticide and caused it to start shrinking him. So maybe MCA was watching the incredible shrinking man when he started his F.E.V. and radiation is responsible crap.

Months?
Hadn't it washed off by then?

That's the 50's for ya, but the doc on the movie had said it got into his DNA. Then the radiation mutated the bug juice.
