WHOA! That looks like talking-head quality! Just add some color and features like eyes and hair and it would be real. As far as the shape and texture go it's excellent.

This is perfect, only one point of criticism I can see gaps between the lips at the corners of the mouth, little speck's of white.
 
Ok, I fiddled a little. Added the eyes, fixed some minor issues around the mouth and changed the lights setup. I think it looks a little more like we're used to.

edit: Btw, hair? Harold had some strange stuff sticking out of his head, but the super mutants were all baldies, right?
 
Yep from what I can remember they ware all baldies. That looks superb now are there any plans to make a full 3D modelle for are mutant friend here I would be cool to see a large super mutant doing suff like scratching his arse.

Probably not. For a while at least. Don't really know how to merge this particular head with another body without running into some helluva problems. Though I guess I could remake it some day... when I'm done with the rest of the nma gallery.

Yep, really would. I am not that good at animation though. Could probably rig him to some extent, but getting desired results... :x Also, my comp are usually letting me down when I want to do the really neat stuff.
 
Well keep working at it then this is to good to call it a day yet, one thing i just noticed though the eye's look a little dull nearly there but not quite can you do anything about this? A little lighter and slightly glazed over would be spot on.
 
Second pic looks worse, eyes too big. Also, the ears on both pics are completely wrong, making your mutant look like Shrek in a BDSM dungeon.

Work on the first piccy, I say.

The first one is far more better if it comes to the texture and light - the second one is a bit too saturated and shiny, while the first one is greatly dimmed. And the dimmed one has a closer resemblance to the oryginal fallout supermutant (and whole gameart) - they all were mat and desaturated. The first eyes are also better, but the mouth is kind of flat there - even on the second one.
Won't talk about ears now.

I don't know why you insist that they all were baldies (too much shrek and orks/ogres perhaps). The ones heavier irradiated where the ghouls, remember!

Heh, I'll try and fix the things you all suggested after I recover from my presumed hangover. I agree totally with the ear thing, saw it but the lazy half of me thought it would slip by unnoticed. :roll:

Alright.. I feel ashamed for not thinking of that model.
 
I really like them, except for the parts that has been mentioned in posts above me, but it would be cool to see something a little more original. This model isn't exactly new (it's Harry I believe?).
You could also add some hair, preferably with a militaristic hairstyle.
 
Did anyone else figured that moonsharens mutant owns only one, single incistor in the middle?

Redid the ears, so hopefully he's a little less shrekie now. Also, went back to the first lights setup. As for eyes.. skipping it. Just couldn't get it to work with the composition.

Fooled around with the image a bit. I know it doesn't fit as well as one would like but oh well..
