Skilled game developers can get jobs elsewhere, especially from a company as prolific as Obsidian. If you don't count lost job and have to give up something very important in their life as life ruined, mkay.

This reminded me how Toddler admitted that he was ridiculed by his classmates for being member of chess club, so he decided to became game developer and great despotic dorky ruler of all these little brats! MUH REVENGE!!1
How about Headfirst Productions?Skilled game developers can get jobs elsewhere, especially from a company as prolific as Obsidian.
Exactly, unfortunate but they still had jobs. How about Headfirst Productions?

Even though people find jobs somewhere else, doesn't mean that losing the company you worked so hard to make won't have a negative effect in your long term life, specially if it was all someone else's fault .
We don't know if all of them got jobs, it says most of them went to other game companies but most is not all...Exactly, unfortunate but they still had jobs.
Your bar about it surely is quite low, not sure it's good thing or not, but I suppose everyone can have their own standard for things.Skilled game developers can get jobs elsewhere, especially from a company as prolific as Obsidian.
Yes, I see things like severe injury, death of everyone you cared about, utter poverty, disease, starvation and dying of thirst as a lot worse.Your bar about it surely is quite low, not sure it's good thing or not, but I suppose everyone can have their own standard for things.
Forgive me to say that, but are you seriously compare game developers to Africa childrens? For real?Yes, I see things like severe injury, death of everyone you cared about, utter poverty, disease, starvation and dying of thirst as a lot worse.
No, I'm saying how losing your job as a video game developer is nothing in compared to what other people suffer.Forgive me to say that, but are you seriously compare game developers to Africa childrens? For real?
I guess everyone can have their own logic about things...No, I'm saying how losing your job as a video game developer is nothing in compared to what other people suffer.
My logic is that there's a lot worse things in life. You should try them, they're real shitty.I guess everyone can have their own logic about things...
Not interesting to lower my bar or use someone suffer worse as excuse, thank you.My logic is that there's a lot worse things in life. You should try them, they're real shitty.
Now I'm confused. What the fuck are you talking about? Not interesting to lower my bar or use someone suffer worse as excuse, thank you.
Settle down now, I was half teasing when I said I hate them. Strongly dislike is more accurate, but you don't get to say whether people have suffered by their hands. Have you worked for them? You couldn't possibly be knowledgeable on every situation involving Bethesda and possible corruption. You are writing differently then you usually do and I just chalked it up to you having a bad day. You also can't tell someone that they don't know suffering or that ones suffering is greater then another. Everyone experiences things differently. Using a blanket statement in the way you did is unbecoming of your status sir.Now I'm confused. What the fuck are you talking about?
I originally was discussing how Bethesda doesn't ruin lives, and how being fired from game developer isn't that bad and then you're off on lowering the bar and some shit.
Thing about it is that they'd need to pack up and move in order to get a now job at a gaming studio. So even if they are able to get a new job they pretty much have to kiss their home goodbye. It's not like game studio's are popping up like cockroaches in every town.Skilled game developers can get jobs elsewhere, especially from a company as prolific as Obsidian.
I reckon he played chess as though it were a first person shooter."Does he play chess in real time too?"
- some guy somewhere once
I wasn't really talking to you, but yeah I've had a shit day. Thanks for getting that, and I'll stop being a grumpy asshole. What I really mean is that getting fired from your job isn't the worst thing ever, unless your job is very important to survival and getting another one is very hard.Settle down now, I was half teasing when I said I hate them. I grant thee the freedom to hate and disrespect those who have forsaken the game industry.Don't worry Dr Fallout, take a nap and relax a little, I'll do the dirty work!
I can. but not the low ranks, they are just doing what they are told to. Emil and Pete earned a special kind of hate.
