I wonder if Bethesda realizes just how hated they will be if they do not make this game Turn-Based/SPECIAL/Isometric.

Don't they realize that FOBOS was real time+butchered SPECIAL system.

And due to it not staying true to the Fallout gameworld, it was a complete disaster.

It got the lowest reviews in popular game magazines. It got uncomprehendable amounts of message board flaming, and most important. It made thousands of people extremely disgusted with Interplay. Fans and Gaming Media.

I can't even think of a popular video game magazine or high traffic gaming site that HASN'T insulted Interplay for the things they have done.

If Bethesda fucks this up fallout fans will never let them forget it.

What a flashback. We saw it coming, watched the train wreck as it happened.

I remember the cautiously reserved optimism, playing F3 for the first time, being impressed and disappointed.

It's interesting that Fallout 3 was being worked on as early as 2004. Not a surprise but I kind of thought they started on that after Oblivion.

It was probably preproduction, that can cook for a long time before it's time to start actual dev-work.
