Who would want to buy the rights to fallout now?
"I think it's good for people to miss things," said Todd Howard, executive producer of the game. "Ten years between 'Fallout' is a bit long, but I think there's this nostalgia factor."
Anyway...from something I read before on here, it sounded as though Interplay had a hard time selling the Fallout name.

As far as I know, this isn't exactly true.

I did not hear who the party was so I can not say if it was Beth or another. My own personal view is somebody with deeper pockets, like Activision or Sony, but that is a BIG guess.
I'd hate to think that Sony could have ended up with it, in the sense that they probably would have given it to a really good team like Guerilla, or some other talented group under the Sony name.

Either way; after I'd buy it I'd license it to someone that's actually willing to make it right. Maybe even finish Van Buren... wouldn't that be sweet? Enough dreaming though![]()

Fans of the post-Apocalyptic game, set in Washington, D.C., won't have to wait another decade for "Fallout 4." Howard said he believes three years is a good time frame between games.</blockquote>Shacknews interprets this as Reuters saying "Fallout 4 in 2011", which seems a bit out there for me; I'd interpret what Todd Howard is saying as "TES V in 2011, Fallout 4 in 2014", unless Bethesda sets up another studio/dev team.
Thanks darkphilly.

Probably more possible than winning the lottery! OK, maybe not.
And, you never know what's going to happen in Fallout's future, especially if Interplay's MMORPG takes off. You might start to see more hands shook than Beth would like.
EA SportsEnglishMuffin said:I'm still shocked that it wasn't Interplay that killed fallout, but Bethesda. Considering that bethesda games have been going downhill since daggerfall, how much do you want to bet that fallout 4 would actually be worse that 3.

Why did you stop waiting for Black Isle, they are bound to come back .... any time now .... just have to believe ... you'll see ... just a couple of more months .... just you wait ... ... ...samrbrts said:I want the same weed this guy is smoking. I wasn't waiting for Bethesda's FO3 for 10 years. I was waiting for Black Isle's one for 10 years.
