This will be a masterlist of all avatars of known users that have stuck around long enough to leave a mental impression. Wayback is your friend or if you saved any of them. Post them and I will add them.
You forgot chunglord420: and SilverStarApple/Epsilon7: Two of nma's finest contributors. Let their avatars be forever immortalised.
I completely forgot about my Master Chief avatar. I might switch back to it. I think I technically had the pixel art ED-E the longest just cause I left NMA for a few years.
The only avatar that left an impression in my mind was this one, primarily for how vocal they were against FO3 back in the pre-release days, and how much they hated FO3 fans when they flooded to the site after it's release ... so much so that they left: 100 points (or rather one rad) if you can guess who it belonged to.
Most of my old avatars originated at Bethsoft; I might have used a Gizmo [from Fallout 1] avatar at NMA very early on, but I have used the BOS helmet w/ flag for more than a decade. Spoiler: My old avatars; some might have been used here for a while. Most are animated.
NMA has a lack of history that only resides within the brains of old fucks like myself that witnessed the fall of Roshambo and Brother None. That is why. Avatars be important. Will continue this next time my net is acting right and I dive into the archives.
Rosh was a prick, but he was our prick. Dude was a pasionate fan of the game, and a fellow glittering gem of hatred.
Not Not really, a LOT of us were calling bullshit from the second the deal went public. Hell, some of us even raided the bethesda fourms so effectively that they disabled user avatars on their fourms for a bit. Was it goatse avatars.... oddly, no, it was a block of text from an old penny arcade comic... 'god hates console fanboys'... he still does.
Well okay you're right, he wasn't the ONLY guy to do it. I didn't mean it like that to single you and others out, I meant it in the way of him being the most vocal and passionate on here at the time. So much so from what I've seen and heard on the archives, that he raged quit from this website due to NMA's then stance of "wait and see" for Fallout 3. And oh dang, you guys actually the trolled Bethesda on their own forums. BRAVO! Also, what's this about the serious allegations of NMA sending death threats to Bethesda's office? I've heard of this being mentioned on here before, and someone made a comment on an Instagram post mentioning this exact thing as well. Is there any truth to it?
I remember posting with Gizmo, BN and a few others on the Bethesda forum. We really gave their moderators a hard time - without being insulting. Till they had enough I guess and started banning some of us. I still have that memory of opening a stupid topic asking stuff like, should a Fatman fired in a cave not melt it if it is a "nuke"? That was like 10 years ago. Time really flies.
