Toxic Caves (the elevator)

You need to use the Electronic Lock picks. Dependant on which patch you are running, the Electronic Lockpick Mk II may or may not work.

Make sure to repair the generator beforehand. Vic should be able to do this for you if your repair skill isn't up to sratch.

If you're already doing this, then you skill level probably isn't high enough.

You need a good lockpick skill and an Electronic Lockpick. Before the patch, you could not use a MkII. With the patch you can. No rope is neccessary. The generator must be running, but Vic *can* fix it. Down the elevator is a robot to fight. It will shoot you with its missiles, so I'd suggest you have decent armor and leave any fragile party members upstairs.
 
I suppose if you strike "A" fast enough you can get past the robot in combat mode before it reacts.

I personally have expected much more of the depot, but perhaps this is because of the diffculties I've had entering. (Was sure the Presidential Key would open it at one point) :)
 
Thanks for the advise, I guess it was for using the electronic lockpic mkII.
BTW: Where the devil I get the presidential pass key in the Enclave? (another question that no matter how many times I finish the game I can't answer).

kinda lame, minor exploit:

just press A during the load. it should work...

(the same thing works if a guy you are talking to becomes hostile during the dialog. press A before the dialog screen has disappeared and you will be able to draw first blood :twisted: )
 
Yea, cool, thank for the advises, but how the heck I get it!? (not that I can't bring down Horrigan myself, but I always wandered what happens if I activate the anti-insurgence protocol)

PD: I might have confused the name Horrigan with Karrigan before in other posts.
 
It's a preisedential Pass.... Who do you think would have that pass? The grunt on level 1? or say... the president?

Kill the president..... use someeting like a bunch of super stimpacks, and you wont have to fight everyone.....
