Troika announcement

"Also picked up Neverwinter Nights for $1."

LOL Talkin' about rubbing it in. :D

Anyways, I enjoyed 2 out of 3 Troika games. They ahd potential; but sadly mistakes made is what led to this downfall. Maybe the Troikians will regroup, learn from this experience, and come back stronger. Who knows.

This is brought to you by Volournian Positive Spins tm.

It's always sad to see a good studio go down, particularly one as innovative as Troika. I can only see things getting worse as the industry becomes more bipolar between budget titles and triple As and the middle ground is squeezed out of existance. Something needs to be done so we don't lose all these great smaller studios.

Anyway, my utmost respect to the Troika crew. May you find your feet once more or failing that disperse into studios with as much regard for story, atmosphere and innovation as Troika had.

I salute you.

i think i've said enough about this subject already in previous threads: a damn shame.troika was the only company i could be called a 'fanboy' of

PS: appearantly Bloodlines now sells in various shops in Belgium for 15 euros! if you dont have it yet, this is your chance...

I used to post (not much actually) on the interplay forums, until Black Isle was closed. With Troika I was happy again, and their games were quite good, especially ToEE. Well, now I'm playing Vampire for the 7th time (I'm playing all the clans, then I'll change the char's sex and start again! bwahahaha!). When BI closed I was almost crying, really. I loved all the games. And the people were nice too. Maybe they have been the first developers to have a hardcore fanbase, if not great sales. Not a big consolation, but we can only give our simpathy.
Btw, where did the other BI guys go? Where is Sawyer, where is Avellone? And the others?
Can anyone tell me a site that has a Black Isle logo? I alredy have Troika's, I mean to tatoo them both on my arms myself, with a rusty knife. I'll probably die, but I'll die happy. Almost. Life has no meaning if Fallout 3 is not developed by these guys. :(
