1. Set
Set really is the stylemongerer´s choice here. Although less visible he carried the essence of Fallout 1. He was the flagship of the Necropolis part of the game, which, with The Glow was most instrumental in creating that certain spookiness F1 had. Brilliant voice, poetic dialogue, man, Set was the dog´s bollocks.

2. Master
What can i say, he was a jaw-dropper the first time I talked to him. with Ravel Puzzlewell from P:T he is has one of the most memorable dialogue trees in CRPG gaming. Memorable quotes, great, spooky back-story! The name richard Grey...

3. Harold
If it were only F1 he´d surpass The Master. That first encounter with a ghoul, the dialogue tree, the character. Harold in F1 was made of win. too bad he didn´t carry the same feeling in F2 where he was a bit too cute. In F1 you really felt sorry for him, but at the same time you pleasantly discovered, there´s nothing to feel sorry for!

4. Dogmeat
How you got Dogmeat was a brilliant moment He´s greatness is just slightly undermined by two factors: 1) Too many dogs in the Fallout universe and Dogmeat being in F3 (ass-tarded) 2) I had a glitch with him the first time I played it, so he didn´t leave the map I got him on. Do you feel sorry for me? You should. the first time I played F1 a glitch robbed me of Dogmeat. I still cry myself to sleep every night, thinking about the injustice of it.

5. Lynette
Such an idea! Such a political idea! A stroke of brilliance in the so-so world of F2 characters. A complete moral counterpoint to what any wasteland wonderer would hold sacred. But still well versed enough to piss you off. Again, great voice acting and a wonderful dialogue tree.

I like the fifth radscorpion you meet in their cave / lair in FO1. His name is Edmund.

Has a place in my heart next to Mario, Bugs Bunny, and all the other pleasant memories of my childhood.

I'd prefer K9 or even Cyber Dog than Dogmeat.
