100% isn't the maximum, for Fallout 100% is fairly mediocre. I don't know what requirement the script has but just because your skill is at 100% doesn't mean success.
 
It doesn't look like there is a real level requirement in this case... You just have to succeed with a -20 modifier applied.

Yeah right... I try something else anyway or later. Perhaps if the tanker is full of fuel and the cargo is empty it will trigger the way to "secure" the FOB.
Or just kill every Enclave bastard!! :evil:

Look at your quest closely!

And read this treat near the beginning... the answer is there on the previous pages...

Can someone help with the cold heart quest.


the quest was to plant the laughing gas on Salvatore, so i swapped his canister for the laughing gas.

Then when i go to get the quest completion it asks if i have planted the gas, and explored the basement. The problem is i obviously didnt read the quest properly, because i dont know what basement it refers to, ive tried searching all the ones i know of in new reno?

Can someone tell me what the guy says, i cant get him to repeat the quest to me (dont have an earlier save).

I already have it but haven't benn to Modoc so I did not know were/why I got the cold heart quest...

It just tells me to swap the gas and search the basement, i have no idea what basement because i didnt read it when he told me (i dont actually remember skipping anything though tbh), and im not about to run about checking every single basement on the off chance.
 
I can't help you for now, haven't enter Modoc but I have the quest since "near" the beginning.
So now I know I have to go to Modoc to have some explanation...
Perhaps I will be able to help you after that.

First: Read what the quests are about. Don't just skim them.

If you really paid attention, you would see that you are not told to swap out the oxygen for the laughing gas. It says just plant the laughing gas. If you take the oxygen, you will kill Salvatore.

Also...I remember this was a bug I corrected. You got the quest to check the basement too early. Just do the Salvatore quest, and do the others when you are told by Jack.

I dont remember him not telling me to remove the oxygen, and that doing so would kill him?

what i remember is being told to plant the laughing gas, i just made the logical conclusion that i am supposed to swap them.

After all isnt it going to look abit sus if his oxygen tanks start breeding?

If i missed the text, its my fault, but if its not stated then it dosnt seem to be a logical conclusion.


EDIT = Also, now that i have found the EPA do i need to keep that little toad alive, i dont want to cause any dead ends before i kill him with groin shots.
 
I did look for tit on previous pages and btw I did look for him in trapper and town and couldn't find him at all.
 
He is near the 3 guys standing around the fire in trapper town, look at the bottom of the screen and you will see a few plants, hes standing there.

Well, gee, you're welcome for the tip.

But you're saying it's not going to look suspicious if you're hanging out behind him for no good reason? Or using alcohol on him to to lower his perception so you can do as you will? Or just hanging out in his office when he has already told you to go see Mason? Or how you walk in with a tank of air that is plainly in sight because you don't have a backpack yet are somehow able to leave without it and not causing a commotion? Funny how you will suspend belief for one thing but not others in this game.

Just pay attention to the text.

update : i did it..it took 2 mentats,xtra charisma point,speech 105,1 armed dynamite,1 armed plastique.

so happy i walked off to the car and forgot about the armed explosives.... :crazy: ..will reload after i scrape my inards off the church walls :lol:

I found the problem. The script was checking whether you had a certain level of speech or if you had 0 or 1 set of dynamite. If you had 2 sets or more, well, it was treated the same as if you had 0. This has been corrected.
 
How the heck do I get passed the initial dungeon in klamath? I haven't gotten belowground proper, nor have I gotten to the garage.
