Fallout 2 mod Unofficial MIB88 MegaMod Gameplay Help

@morticia THX for help:*

I encounter a guy named Kaga or smt. He wanted to escaped during the middle of a combat, saying he'll be back. Luckly my Huntin Rifle didn't let me down. Few shots in a leg to slow him down and bunch of next penetreting the interior of his head. BTW this guy was having bloody nr of HP!! So after the confirmed kill, clear, I looted his body and found 14mm semi-auto and Assult Rifle.
My question is , would it matter if a had let him go (would came back soaked up or smt) or killin him straight away was better option??

Kaga

"I encounter a guy named Kaga or smt"

Well, since you're asking... Kaga is a coward (se caga, ¿no?). He runs away as soon as hit. The sooner in the game you kill him, the less loot you'll get. I killed him late and I got 1000gp, five super stims and an assault rifle.

thanks men

I have another set of questions

When u are in Modoc Underground and hit the map button it displays Arroyo Caverns:P

I found Gareth diary, a blue book, only simple description, do I need it for anything??

I found near the Mine entrance in Modoc, an electirc drill, where do I use it? Or the pickaxe from that local blacksmith??

Oh btw that mine entrance is really a problem u have the click excatly the second hex from the right hand side, caus Exit Grid is inactive :/

After completing several quest in Primitive Tribe I was granted seeing the Tribe Leader, happen do be Sulik sister. Is that the one looked for? Or is she his second sis? Where is the one written in the quest log?? Killing metzeger and free slave from the fence area would help ??

I also notice quest in Vault City section of Pip Boy, even I haven't been there:P About colleting some 10 pieces of fruit for some Ann? WTF?

Hi, guys. I have not seen it referenced in this thread, so in case no one has noticed it, there is a huge hidden cache of gold pieces in the Primitive Tribe area, and I mean HUGE! Also, I remember playing a game of unmodded FO2 a couple of years ago in which I accidentally killed one of the Wright kids in a firefight. After that, one of the random wasteland encounters that I regularly got was bounty hunters. These guys were tough! They were kind of like Enclave troops, however, IIRC, they had better weapons and more ammo. Are these guys still available in the Megamod? Thanks for everyone's help.

Give a screenshot so we can be sure of it.

@McRae
Sorry man, I discovered this over a year ago gametime, and I have already moved on and spent over half the money. I will play again soon and then I will let you know.

Sorry but that's my fault, there is 450000 gold where it's only supposed to 5 gold. Apparently saving the damned map into a text file screwed up the number of items, all the items needs to be corrected on that map. I had no idea it would do that. So MIB88 if you read this, my tribe01.map fix didn't quite work out as I had hoped. I can fix it if you want, but if you've already corrected the exit grids, I would need the new map.

Crazy thing: I couldn't fix the exit grid issue! Seriously. No matter what I did, I could not get the exit grids between the two areas to work correctly. As it stands, the only way to enter the second level is to press 2 from the worldmap. I've already uploaded the latest edition to be made available for download. I'll keep working on it and get it right for the next edition.

I can fix that map properly tonight, by removing the tiles by hand instead, it'll take me a few hours, but at least it will be done right.
If it's not neccessary, please stop me before I start, it's not the most fun thing to do.

Don't worry about it. Really. There will be another release in a couple of months, with more bug fixes and at least one new location (well, not new, but at least new to the mod). There is no reason it can't wait until then.

Hi....
into version MIB88 MegaMod 2.34 in the fisrt quest the temple of trials i cannot find the explosive to break the big door and continue with the game..... Is that been removed ?
If yes how do i continue the game because lock cannot be lockpicked ( the game log says
"there's no lock" )...

Thanks in advance :D

Okaaay, I have not seen this problem listed anywhere. However, I have done all the troubleshooting I can managed and scoured the readmes to no avail. I could have overlooked something, but I've been scouring them so long that my eyes are crossing.

The end of the temple of trials. The warrior guy who is... well, in the original game, he challenged you or you can talk him out of it. Hell if I know what happens here.

I mouseover him. "Error." I try to talk to him. His lines are all Error. My lines are all Error.

...any idea what I did wrong here?

Works fine for me, I guess you fucked up with a dialog file while installing the game. I suggest you try a clean installation and avoid old savegames. Try not to install a version on another version.

That's extremely odd, as this is a brand new installation. I haven't played Fallout 2 in quite some time.

I'll try reinstalling, though.

EDIT: Mmkay, thoroughly reinstalling worked. No clues as to what went wrong. Either way, thanks.

As far as I remember, the bolt was only useful in hand to hand combat. In the early stages that is.

You need to find a big square object lying on the ground. It is located several hexes from the door you enquire. Where corridor is turning right. Put that area under scrutiny. U can't miss it, it's big animation and it's heavy as hell.

Good Luck

ok !

you said it is near the entrance room ? Right ?

:D

Thanks :D

The bolt is found in the entrance room, and is useless, except as Brydżkiper noted.

The big stone you need to open the trick door is at the end of the corridor to the right, nest to the empty chest. Once you have it, go stand on the floor plate until the door opens, then 'drop' the stone from your inventory to make it stay open.
