Van Buren - Akeisha Character

First time out of the vault
Hi everyone,

i was just looking over the nursery design paper for the Van Buren Project, and the girl, who's picture was used to base Akeisha´s character on, struck me as quite beautiful. And I registered just so I could learn more about her. :?

So I wondered if anyone knows more about the picture's origin or atleast what the girl's nationality might be.

And here's the Photo for anyone who hasn't seen it yet or needs a refresher:

Fat chance figuring that out.

Also: what exactly is your idea of beautiful?

Alsoplustoo: you registered after seeing that picture. Which is creepy. Chances are that the minute you find out who this is, you'll get a plane ticket and go stalking that poor woman's ass. Which is even creepier.

Advice?

Leave that woman alone.

Pretty sure they just took a picture of some Bolivian/Native American woman for reference.

By the way, this thread isn't creepy or anything...

Hah!!!

All i thought is that she just might be a famous person. If not in the US than maybe in her home Country. Thats one of the reasons I was asking for the Nationality.

By all means I don´t want any personal stuff on the board. For all i know she might even be the designer´s former or current girlfriend or something :)

And yes she is not a traditional Beauty which supprised me even more. I immideatly wondered if thats how most women from her Coutry look like.
Kinda reminds me of those National geographic Photos of some beautiful afgan women of which noone knows since they dont show their faces at all.

She ceartanly seems more in the way of native american than bolivian and I think her clothes do too. but than again I cant really say. Thanks for the tip though

The photo is from Gett Images, which provides stock photos for whatever purposes. BIS used those photos as placeholders in their design docs to give modellers an idea of what they had in mind. It doesn't use famous people.

Though you could track her down and embark on the most romantic adventure of our time, which would later be turned into a screenplay and eventually a major motion picture for all ages.

...OR: An incredibly depressing, creepy and heart-crushing trek that is bound to fail.

"So, where did you two meet?"

"Well, vorazechul saw my picture in the design documents for a cancelled video game from ten years ago, and he tracked me down using the internet. I was really flattered, especially considering the obstacles he had to overcome to find me. How could he have known I was a field commander for the Tamil Tigers in Sri Lanka? Luckily one of his on-line friends recognized me from a wanted poster. It was love at first sight."

"That's so romantic!"

Put the image on the web so that Google finds it, then use the "find similar images" function. You'll be cyberstalking her in no time.

Also, in a post-apocalyptic wasteland I think that wouldn't count as ugly.

Actually I'm pretty sure there's a website that can take photos and then use them to track websites hosting said photo (or similar photos). Saw it on RPGCodex once, forgot what it's called.

That's funny. (I left out the last sentence because I think it killed the joke somewhat.)

Different strokes for different folks I guess...

Thanks to Brother None for the tip.
I did thoroughly browse through Gettyimages and their Image Bank section but had no luck finding any more images of hers. In fact I did not find this one there either.

I did the Tineye thing about 1 minute after seeing the photo but had no results. Thanks for the tip though.
I also did a Google search for similar images before posting at all at this forum but had no luck there either (i did not register the picture with Google or anything because i don't think its necessary for the search engine to work properly...just a link to the picture).

Not knowing who the photographer was or the name of the model makes any further search through the web pretty pointless.

So if no one has any ideas, than this was it with the search.
Sorry to disappoint those of you who are more on the romantic side of things :) . And the sarcastic guys for that matter (I know you all want a story about some sorry ass stalker getting arrested in Colombia or some such :D )

As for the women being beautiful: Yes she is. And the picture is very inspiring.

As for the topic being creepy: Well i guess this forum isn't the best place to search for pictures of beautiful women but it is the place I saw this one for the first time so it did make sense to make a post.

By the way I do often see a picture on the web that catches my attention and I start searching for more like it. Since I'm studying for an Engineering degree I often end up searching for pictures of all kinds of machinery and Vehicles and since I'm a god damn man pictures of women can catch my attention too.

I really hate when I start seeing paparazzi shit or stuff that is too personal on the web. I even think that people should not put anything on facebook that they wouldn't put in their CVs anyway.
When I started looking for more pictures of this Girl it was only for more of her professional work. In other words commercial Pictures like the one above or maybe a personal site of hers that has promotional material. And all of it because the Picture is (at least to me) inspirational.
