how do you like my new style ? 8)

also i want to present you another drawing done few days ago
never did such a realism work before
but it is a fan art of Thief 3 deadly shadow

I liked your old style better.

Plus: in the Thief artwork, the flesh-coloured thing looks like a hairy vagina with three eyes and a stereo clitoris. It scared the shit outta me.
 
i think it's sweet and original. Although I don't get the point. Why so upset? He was looking forward to eating it?

Also whats the old style look like?
 
Dude, I'm seriously impressed. The first picture really conveys a great story very well: In a PA environment the Vault Boy went through a lot of trouble to obtain a simple egg, and now it's broken. The happy colours juxtapose the dark situation very well. The only thing I don't like about it are the aforementioned anime tears, also his mouth are a bit off.

The second picture is really good too.


I give it nine alecs out of ten.
 
Can't put it any better than DDD (obtaining in egg in the post-nuclear isn't as easy as going to the mall -- just think of post-war Germany), but I also agree that I like the old style better.

Although I have to say that the lights on the Thief picture look a bit misplaced and the shadowy figure in the entrance looks a bit hairy and the whole entrance looks a bit odd because of the lack of depth in that part of the picture it actually looks pretty good.

I, as well, preferred the old style.

As for the second, I like the color scheme, it goes well with the setting. As well as the wash effect for the buildings in the far background. The smoke from the sconce seems a little out of place, cartoonish. Overall, it's quite good.

Though, who is the person in the furry cloak?
 
actually I hate it exactly as you guys do, but that's why I did it in this picture
Im a new learner of CG, any comment would be helpful, so thanks for these crits, I'll try to improve on next time, thank you all
oh, as for the style, I say this is just a test, I dont really like my old cartoon style, I'm learning how to make it more true-life, just give me some time please, I can work it out

But I like the idea.
 
this reminds me of that flash movie with the egg falling from the top of a wall...

I like the drawing and I thought it was really funny, but it would have been much better in your old style :wink:

Though the plot is a simpliest one, the fairy tail suggests what is right and what is wrong.

But this very artwork just expresses infinite despair. Nothing instructive about it.

my old style...looks kind of doltish to me...
maybe I'd polish this 'stupid egg', make it fine and with more detail...

I think you put far too much detail in the background and surroundings. If you'd kept the central piece of the work, i.e. the character, and used less colours/stains/strokes/whatever on the background/sky, it'd look better.

Also, the anime tears look like something out of defacialize.com.
