Violence & Fallout 3

wasn't there a 'turned to a puddle of goo' death or was that another game?

Yup. One of the two critical plasma rifle deaths. My personal favourite.

I dont have words to describe my anger, the death animations in FO1/2 we're satisfying, not funny! Or at least not meant to be funny.
And, Comical death - for grown up
Realistic Death- For kids
I dont get it, really.

And what's worst, people are actually going to enjoy that!

Quentin Tarantino style violence, is not just Kill Bill.

Fallout should have more of a gritty feel to it. Not a fantasy type Kung Fu violence. It should be more Pulp Fiction, or Reservoir Dogs, rather than Kill Bill.

Well, most death animation in Fallout (without Bloody Mess feat) looked like this: person\animal gets killed, falls down, blood spills. No flying limbs, exploding heads whatsoever, so I don't get it why all the fuss about the violence in the game. You can always turn down the violence level if you don't like carnage x\

Anyway, Fallout's death aren't Tarantino style. Or maybe they are? Painful, yes, but not ridiculously bloody. Well, maybe except few of them. As I was saying, I don't think they're *quite* Tarantino style, so I don't like the comparison.

True. Usually when you killed someone/something you were not laughing your arse off after the death animation. You were more like "who's your master now ? BITCH !" I have yet to see the animations in Fallout 3 though so I won't comment much on that until I see it.

I particularly loved eating a rocket from a super mutant.

You'd fly across the level, smack into the wall, explode, and then die. (Not particularly in that order)

:P

If they pull off the Tarantino-style violence it would be good, because, as we all know, Tarantino has style. Enough in-game references in the originals were made to his movies to know that it's a good thing.

Every time a good idea comes along I start to wonder: are they going to pull it off?

Beth has no ideea what Fallout really was about because none of them ever played it.

They'll never get it! Inside their minds they're convinced they're doing a great game that'll stay true to the originals. Again, that's because they never played the originals, they've seen screenshots of it at most.

It's like me trying to do an Oblivion sequel, (I stopped playing it after getting out of the dungeon and had a look around) It'll probably come out something like Fallout.
