here in europe we used to have OCZ 350W & 300W PSUs (they are probably still around). with some hardware nuts of my HW website we decided to test & dismantle them, turns out that the 350W & the 300W version were exactly the same, the only difference being the label. granted the 300W performed better than advertised but the 350W was underpowered. (meanwhile, OCZ has changed this & is now shipping the correct PSUs & no longer the relabled ones)
just to say: dont stare blindly into a label with a familiar name, but rather do some research...
also try to check the connectors before buying. some motherboard & graphical cards have new connectors. while 'old' PSUs are still ok, you just need a convertor piece, but that means extra cable clutter.
PS: it is best to invest on a high quality 500W PSU if you want to run high end vid cards in SLI
