This sounds bad...

The key thing (and what made WotW so special) is that the novel revolve around the inability to fight the aliens and the main characters dreary existence hiding and avoiding them as they suddenly die on a technicality. The view of people being so horribly incapable is what made the story great.

If they tirelessly destroy them like something in...oh...any other action-sci-fi than this will blow.

Another remake? Is it me or are remakes and movies pulled from old books and comics about all there is now days? Seems like seeing or hearing of an original idea in a movie is rare.

Of course, i guess it saves money if no one has to write anything original for the movie.

The Last Samurai was a good movie. I was surprised. I didn't think it would be any good from the advertisements, but it turned out pretty good. I'm not a big Cruise fan either, but i thought he done a decent job in that movie. But as Brady mentioned, he was playing a drunk.
