We're not exactly inundated with Wasteland 2 news, so even this little tidbit will do: Matt Findley and Brian Fargo have started a Pinterest page where you can find third-party images "that inspire the world that will become Wasteland 2". Take a look-see.

Why? It looks good. Nothing else matters, imo.

Wasteland 2 huh

Looks appropriately decadent to me. Like something out of a Heavy Metal comic.

Well, because there are thousands of potentially usable pieces of artwork that would be setting appropriate, so its mildly odd to choose one from a game that they are indirectly stating is a part of the problem in the industry that they are fighting against.

No, it doesn't suggest anything at all about Wasteland 2 as a game. Were I creating a game that is meant to be the antitheses to the direction of modern RPGs, I would probably keep anything about those games away from mine. As I said its a "mildly odd choice", nothing more.

Aren't you overreacting a little bit here? It is an image that shows destroyed Washington DC, really nothing else. It doesn't show shitty dialog, it doesn't show a first person shooter, it doesn't show anything but destroyed enviroment... which Wasteland 2 will feature as well.

Damn, there was a time where NMA users criticised stuff with logic and not BECAUSE.

Those art pieces by Craig Mullins were awesome and well-received, even here. This one and the desert one weren't particularly Fallout-specific either, and while the Wasteland post-apocalypse will look different (verdant) from what we've seen, there's no reason to ignore good art.
