Wasteland 2 Kickstarter has launched

34 days? I thought it would last a bit longer.

I'm going to wait a week or two before I (hopefully) pledge. I don't want to back the project and than have to cancel my pledge, so I'll first make sure I have everything set. Seems it will be a 75$ investment...

Man you're not kidding about the refresh thing, i did it 3 times (in a2/3 minutes timespan) and 41k->43k->44k...that's impressive!

Pledged my donation for the collector's edition. It's a fairly decent chunk of money for me, but this is not *just* Wasteland 2, it's the chance to show the world that the fans will fund an old-school RPG if the publishers don't want to. Too big to not give it money. Plus, uh, the fact that it's Wasteland 2 is p. cool too, even if I wasn't born back when it was published. :)

Indeed! Also, I consider it years and years of not being able to spend good money on a good game! HA!

edit: Holy shit it's going up at a rate of a thousand bucks a minute at this point!

Awesomeo. Already put up my fliff. I checked reddit, and it's not getting the attention Double Fine did. I hope it gets at least on r/gaming's frontpage.

It's exciting to know we're part of gaming history here, the clocks almost up to $50k already.

Amazing...

the best thing it has momentum , that first people pledged, so more will be convinced that that project has a chance. It's important because Fargo ask for a lot of money. Also good that wasteland came after double fine kickstarter, that subject is fresh in media and exile game can get more information/articles.

I will pledge when i will get from work and I am very happy that finally we will get game what we all asked for.

Well, it's very early morning in the United States, I'm sure it'll get more coverage when America wakes.

Does anybody have an idea why the $50 tier does not come with a digital copy?

Because then you'd have two copies. For almost no more money than you'd pay for a digital copy and another digital copy + digital art book. How would that make sense?

I dunno if your copy can be activated on Steam. It's possible, though I doubt it.

they have $100 from me.

I hear some Mark Morgan Falloutish tunes in the background music of the kickstarter video! :)

Just gave them 250$. Use them well, Fargo!

I've also completed a manual for Russian speaking users. It can be found here. Hope they will add the link to the FAQ section so this segment of Fallout fan community will be covered as well.

PS. it is $62,133 right now!
