Wasteland 2 Saturation Option Screenshots

A, nice contrast between the characters and enemies and also has the bright high contrast vibrancy I associate with the Wasteland games. Also sunset in a desert, muted it just won't work.
Looks like they've upped the bump mapping on the cars as well.

First (A) screenshot looks fine to me. I've watched Mad Max 2 recently, there was the same rich orange tone in the desert. One more thing: scorpitron looks great, but why so serious? I would rather see Harry the Bunny Master instead.

I like them all. Plus, as Per said, most certainly there will be anoption to adjust this to our likening. For someone like me who is not an artist, it's interesting how slight change of color can alter whole perception of the world that we are imagining.

I wouldn't like to see changes in original inxile idea (whatever that is) to the point they loose the thread they would like to follow. I don't think this shade of colors could be it and indeed, there is a place for crowdsourcing, but compromises with a "fans", for better or worse, aren't always the best practice. That said, I genuinely believe Brian&Co know this and if this color palette "issue" happens to be the only/major problem with the game, I would be one little happy scout.

Confession: the first one is just a little too saturated for me, but I voted for it anyway, probably as a reaction to Bethesda's take on Fallout. No more sepia toned games please!

I really like 'C', but I think that something between 'B' and 'C' would be better. I have nothing against bright colors, but for this particular image I prefer low saturation.

Can't say that 'C' and 'B' remind me "Bethesda's view of Fallout". Just compare Fallout 1 / 2 screenshots and this one. The colors of 'C' are much closer to F1/2. Bethesda's screens are green and have nothing in common between F1/2 and this image (but in saturation they are closer to 'B', I guess).

Among other changes compared to very first W2 screen: the new one has better textures, better character models, one of buildings moved down and the scorpion stands a little differently.

Really like the progress. Waiting for next screens.

PS. The final result is very depends on the device / monitor. Just checked on three different devices and now I really can't choose what variant I like more. Will check on two more in some time.

The classics were quite vibrant. Play them again, note the colours.

Personally, I prefer B. It's the right balance between colours and contrast. A is a tad too crowded and busy.

F1 / F2 have brightness regulation. I always play on low (default). I really can't say that this image is vibrant:

Just look at TOEE: it's vibrant and looks perfect:

But bright is not equal good, as bleak is not equal bad. Just my point.

Well, the problem is a lack of contrast. Fo1/2 do not lack contrast, you can see everything quite clear.

Oh, I agree, mostly, I'm just "been there done that" and ready for some frikking color this time around. The real world isn't postprocessed, except when I wear sunglasses. :)

I'm liking C, I like my wastelands to look bleak and washed out.

Although I liked the whole comic book style of the first 2 Fallouts (especially some of the loading screens).

So maybe I can compromise and go for B :)
