Wasteland 2 is steadily moving forward: the Facebook page is up (as shared by our own facebook page yesterday), and InXile CEO Brian Fargo notes the website will be up on Monday.

Fargo notes he has "most major websites" ready to announce, which is always good. He also notes on twitter that the Kickstarter page should be up in about a week, but might be delayed a bit.
We hope to launch Kickstarter by late next week, but there's an approval process that we're not familiar with. Could be small delay.
If you've got no credit card and are worrying about how to pledge for this project, Lexx noted Wirecard might offer a solution. If it's not valid in your country, ask in this thread for local suggestions for pre-paid cards.

Before you get a prepaid card check to see if there is a monthly fee. If so don't get it till next month when kickstart will(could) charge the card, so you can avoid the fee. Then transfer the balance to paypal or steam or something afterwards.

Can't donations be made through Paypal?

No. Payments are made through Amazon, which allows only credit card payments. This is due to the way Kickstarter "pledges" money rather than take it off your card immediately.

So. This is really happening.

Huh. The old Planescape card box on my wardrobe
seems to have developed an unholy glimmering
over the last few days.

Yes, it must be. The stars are aligned right.

Wirecard account is created and verified.

Beer is in the fridge. Wine bottles are dusted.
Fresh fruits for mixed beverages are stored.

Reality is still warping. But I guess, we will
be able to adapt. Let's be strong, brothers.

Anyone knows any solutions for pre-paid cards in Argentina? Or actually most of South America has the problem anyway. :P

Doesn't accept paypal? I guess they don't want as much money as they can get...

Though most people with paypal probably already have a debit/credit card anyway.

Durrhurrhurr.

Right. Because Brian Fargo wields the power to change the format of Kickstarter.

I guess Goweigus was refering to Kickstarter in general, not that particular Wasteland 2 project. ;)

Pretty sure Kickstarter has been overtly successful as a website thus far. They only make money from completed projects and they're going as strong as ever. So...? Yeah.

Also: That didn't appear to me to be what dude was referring to.

What Wasteland 2 is coming, the game i been waiting over 20 years to come. I gonna divorce my wife, and send my kids to Hogwarts im so exited. And hey.

Well, it's up since only a few hours. Of course it is empty.

Regarding prepaid credit card: I just noticed on the Double Fine kickstarter page, that they write in their FAQ about using PayPal:

Q: I would like to donate, but I can't get an Amazon Payments account. Can you accept Paypal?

A: Unforunately, we can not accept PayPal. More information about this specific issue can be found here: http://www.kickstarter.com/blog/amazon-payments-and-us-only

HOWEVER, Amazon has suggested that using prepaid credit cards will work, as long as you pledge $1 extra on top of the rewards tier you desire.

The bottom part most likely will count for Wasteland 2 as well. I have added $1 to my Double Fine money now, just in case. I am not sure how exactly this will work with prepaid card from outside of the US or if it makes a different with Wirecard (because Wirecard charges the extra 1 euro from your prepaid card, Amazon has nothing to do with it).

Just wanted to note this, in case someone has overseen this before as well.
