Yes, more emphisious on rad poisoning, which would be wuite common in areas around and near blast zones, which were plenty!

Does anyone know what's going on with Zoe? Is she around?

Caribe, let me know what you have planned.

I am guessing the Raiders would play safe and send in riflemen to flush you out or pin you down.
Rob is waiting to cover your retreat. So let us know what you have in mind.

Hey guys, sorry for the really long delay in my post but last week was the worst yet. School, looking for work, Having a death of a flu..i just haven't been able to get my brain working. I will try my hardest to get a post done by later tonight or tommorrow.

Nothing posted in a week. What gives? Caribe you are in the middle of it.

Someone want to move the story forward?

I think it was the combat scene. Those always create problems in RPs for some reason I swear.

Welsh you should move along the story to us getting to junktown.

as far as i'm concerned the story went a wee bit off track when Zoe took the mission off the planned route (i even drew a nice lil' schematic ffs ;p) & you introduced the wraiththingies, welsh.

but yeah more recently due to the fact the group is split up & unsure of what the others want... (also details like how far are we from Junktown, what are we doing with a prisonner,...)

Well I had Ivan heading back to meet the group and help Carib. As far as he is concerned, he refuses to run from slavers or leave someone to them. Unfortuantely Im gone for the week for Spring Break in Florida, so I have to wait till I come back to do this. My apologies.

Maybe we can bring him in as a person who has been attempting to get into the Glow.

Sorry I have not written in awhile. Been busy with other things and running three rps at the same time is a bit much.

Caribe, let's hear what you're going to do. If it's just "kick some raider ass" then finish fast. If you want to get captured, then tell us what you have in mind. Otherwise, it's time to run.

Fireblade, don't go back to help Caribe. We have enough trouble getting to Junktown.

Ok, will post more today to move it along.

Suaside- don't know what happened to Zoe. Does anyone know what happened to Zoe?

As for the wraith things- well, ok. This is inspired by something else that I want to toss into the plot. Remember our rp is set in the fallout world of Fallout 1, but we are not destined to be the ones to get the waterchip. Rather, our story involves the "other stories" of Fallout 1- the destruction of the Hub, the BOS coming out of isolation, the civil conflict and rise of Set in Necropolis, Decker in the Hub, the conflict between Kilian and Gizmo.

The wraith things- strangers- are another villian that the vaultdweller from Fallout 1 will not encounter.

Steve- read through the past chapters of this RP and you'll get a feeling how fighting is done and the tone of the story. When you finish, if you are still interested, we can work out your character. I think a salvager trying to break into the Glow might be interesting.

Okey doke. I'll post again when I'm done reading.

Right, that's Chapter the First ingested. Interesting apartheid theme in the Vault (no guns for black people). Onto part 2.

lol. Just noticed Chapter 2's a sphincter-trembling 15 pages long. Guys, would you mind if I skipped to Chapter 4? I've got a good picture in my head of the sort of people Dwemer and Melvin are, and although I haven't seen who else is part of the story in Chapter 4, I could probably piece things together from that point of view well enough, too.

Way I see it, Dave Angel will be coming into the story from a completely unrelated tangent. So that means not knowing too much about where everyone else has come from will be in keeping with his story (how convenient ;)) A salvager trying to break into the Glow sounds fine to me as a plot device.

Please advise. :)

OK, have just read Chapter Four to date. So the gang is just just about to enter Junktown? Seems like I'm going to have an awfully long wait if my character is hovering around The Glow.

As an alternative suggestion, we could have him as a failed machine parts (or similar) dealer, once based out of Junktown. Business could have been so bad what with the Raiders (those which the party have just tangled with) that he's on the brink of deciding to shut up shop and move on. The arrival of the party could be what he sees as a possible means of safe passage to one of the other Wasteland settlements and a new chance. His story could go from anywhere from there.

Combat still seems like a grey area. Naturally, I've gone over the party's recent battle with the raiders. I get the sense that the whole thing is RPed on the fly, with the players even generating baddies to taste. Not knocking your set-up at all, but I'd like to know what constraints you have for fight set-pieces.

Rp'd on the fly is the way it goes.

Other forms of combat just don't really work. Realism is strived for, but not expected.

Think of this more like collective fiction.

And yes, please read the other chapters. 10 pages for Chapt 3 is a bit long but you do have most of the major characters coming in.

Damn. OK, sorry, but I'm going to have to give it a miss in that case. It's a bit of a slog to chug through as a passive reader.

I might give one of the other shorter-running sagas a stab. Thanks for considering me as a player.

If anyone wants to do the summary for Stevie D- fine.

Thing is Stevie, the question of whether to let you into an RP comes down to your willingness to commit. We don't know if you are willing to commit. The longer the story the harder it is to join.

SO if you want to join, than read. If not, fine. This way at least we know if you are capable of commiting.
