Weather phenomenon

Meanwhile in Australia:

Great for sunbathing.

Zugspitze is Germany's highest mountain. There are no beggars up there. But it's plenty cold down here, too.
Here in Erlangen it's like -9°C right now. That's pretty cold for us. It's getting rare around here that even during the day we get like -5°C max.
Tomorrow is supposed to be the low point, I think. Something like -10°C when I go to work in the morning. I like it, although I do have a slight cold right now so the cold air really fucking hurts my sinuses right now.
I guess this blast of russian winter air is the perfect opportunity to get out my soviet overcoat once more. This winter has been so mild that I didn't need that thing at all.

Yesterday was -6°C , but the wind was blowing so hard I felt like my face was being peeled off.
It's -10°C currently, but it's fine. No wind today. I had a nice long walk in snow. Gay, I know.

I understand if in central Europe there is traffic problems and schools closed with this type of weather. We are used to it but in the south the roads etc. systems aren't prepared for it. Safer to cancel schools and fix the roads properly etc. Might be extremely slippery too so better be careful.

It's pretty dry around here, unless someone spills water outside there's nothing slippery here.
The sun is shining nicely, too, so watching from the inside you'd think it's a nice spring day because there's no snow or anything anywhere.
It's just surprisingly cold outside, but a rather dry cold. Relative humidity around 50% or so.
Got out my soviet parade coat. Now with more hammer&sickle on every button. And it has a lot of buttons. Surprisingly enough the fucking thing felt quite tight after not wearing it for a year. It used to be quite roomy around the shoulders, but now it does that weird thing where my deltoids stick out a little below the slightly padded shoulder parts.
