What game was this?

Great to see you posting again but you are wrong sadly!

One of the words is another word for ruler.

Without cheating I am lost but I wanna guess Space Quest.

TMNT of course. Ok I got one.

Hint* the title has the word magic in it.
Lords of Magic. I’ve never played it, but I’ve always seen it floating around.

It is D&D; it is a TSR first of its kind.

_______________

Gave up so soon? (The above is quite a hint; as there can be only one first of its kind...)

Is it a Video?

Is it a Game?

(Is it that Dragon Strike VHS game? I’ve never played it, nor seen what it actually looks like, but I remember the ads in comics.)

Character creation:

This is a licensed D&D video game title, and [afaik] the very first in its genre.

This game released seven years before ToEE, and also it is not an RPG. ;)

More hints?
The publisher accidentally released the full source code for the engine with the game's demo installer.
The publisher either omitted (or forgot?) to include the game's intro cinematic on the disc... so it hasn't got one—unless the player obtains the video file from the public demo installer.

* The screenshots I posted before are still frames from the game's intro cinematic.

That looks so familiar. Is it by the same people who made Dragon's Lair?
No it is not. Apparently the developer only ever made one game; this one.

*Trivia: The credits list Feargus Urquhart as TSR Foreman.
Tramell Ray Isaac was an artist on the game; (also an artist on Fallout).

Blood and Magic. Jesus Christ, completely forgot about this game.

And if that’s not it I’ll buy the game and eat it on camera.

Edit: what game is George Costanza playing?
