Hey everyone, old ass member here, after more than a decade away from Fallout, i decided to come back to it after learning about wonderful projects like Fallout Nevada.
I also decided to re-play FO1 and 2 again as well.
So i came back to NMA and, to my suprise, most of the downloads here are gone. Fallout 1's section only has "Fallout Fixt", which is one of those (IMO) horrible bundled modpacks, which dont even offer a more truly vanilla option. I had to resort to finding a "Fallout Update Pack" from nuclearcity site, which not only already contains a optional installation for the "fixt" content, but also offers a very much vanilla experience (manly just TeamX's patches, NPC mod and such). Why arent those mods being hosted on the site? Having more options is always nice.
I also had to resort to a obscure polish site to get myself the old "Fallout Update Mod 1.25", which adds quite a bit of cut content from fallout 1 (the romeo and juliet quest in addytum, Laura the Spy, quite a bit of minor NPCs in a lot of other towns and such).
With FO2, i had to go through Killap's site to get his patch stuff (which used to be hosted here).
I am also quite sad to see that all the quirky content made for FO2 seems to have vanished, i am talking about standalone artwork/assets, small mods (such as the multiple versions of Miria's mod that people made over the years or standalone NPCs).
Heck, i remember NMA used to host even a few Fallout Tactics mods (and many custom characters too), now theres only 5 of them, with most not even being proper mods
What happened everyone? Why does the download section looks so barren nowadays? Did these files got lost in some server issue? Its kinda sad to go into the downloads and i pretty much dont have anything interesting to download there anymore
