What is Caen/Titus up to?

I agree with Welsh on this one- the most striking thing about this is not the monetary amount, but that it implies that Titus acquired Interplay just to continually screw it over.

I doubt they took control of Interplay with this intention in mind, though that doesn't mean they aren't taking full advantage now.

It's interesting that Interplay's own board is quashed some of these attempts.

I spent several hours one night this summer looking at Interplay's SEC filings (looking for info on their D&D license agreement) and I remember seeing some of what kumquatq3 has reported and feeling it was a bit odd. Hat's off to him for pulling it all together and bringing it out.

Hmm, I can only say "curiouser and curiouser".

I can also say that you should have posted it in this forum to begin with instead of general if you were hoping to draw attention to it.

Hmm, I thought of something else to say:

George W doesn't like corporate funny stuff. George W still doesn't like France. Someone should tell George W that the ex BIS guys were dedicating FO3 to him but now it's gone.

I'm not with NMA, I don't have the ability to post in the News forum.

I'm trying to get something new on this

Well, if that's what it takes...

Shell Game

Shell Game

Haven't had much time to absorb the latest financial news of the shell game that Titus and all the associated game companies have been playing.
Appears that Interplay was getting the short end too often, or maybe the mistiming of necessary funding for the Q4 release of BG:DA 2 and FO:BOS was the worst resultant of this ""creative accounting"".

Those that are still hot for boycott should consider following the money trail up the larger corporate tree. Consider the stand that this corporate mismanagement has crippled Interplay and forced the end of BIS.

Are these companies in the game business, publishing consumer entertainment products, or are they riding the pinnacle of a ponsey scheme, mining the taxes laws and "debt leverage industry"?

The move of assets to BG:DA 2 and FO:BOS could be seen as reasonable business decisions. The failure to make the Q4 Christmas deadline with at least BG:DA 2 does not appear rational. Particularly since the draconian decision to focus on consoles must have been made some time ago.

The inept timing of their money handling, robbing Peter to pay Paul, could be interpreted as the desperate slight of hand of corporate con men.

If these are public traded companies, what investor could trust such
misdirection manipulators?
