What is wrong with our culture?

we produced fallout, batman, avengers, matrix, west side story, pulp fiction, american graffiti, citizen cane, the car industry, fast food, hairspray(the product and film) pioneered modern democracy, landed on the moon, created silicon valley, blade runner, became the largest multicultural nation, created one the most deadly military this worlds ever seen, built the internet so really nothing is terribly wrong with are culture.
What about the negative points?

I respect the US as nation, it's a better place to live than, North Korea or Somalia. But I can't hear this, It's the greatest nation on earth, bullshit anymore. It's tiresome. Or this extreme patriotism, that would be seen as fascim and everyone would be screaming fucking nazi! If it was displayed in the same manner in Germany.

1. Name 1 better country
2. How does being proud of your country automatically make you a nazi? I love my country and her people, doesn't make me a fascist. You want to know what's tiresome? Hearing people talk shit about America as if we're some horrible blight on the world and all the youth of today acting like you're a nazi if you don't hate your country.

Personally I'm all for the Principality of Sealand. Micronations are so adorable.

Though I do love America. Sure the country's in splinters right now but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. Even with 2 shitty presidents in a row our country's still going strong. I grew up here, and I wouldn't want to grow up anywhere else. Right or wrong, America's my home. I've had a lot of family serve in the military, and honestly if I didn't have extreme near sight (aka very thick glasses) or have to wear hearing aids, I might join them. I'd fight for America. At this point I don't consider myself Liberal or Conservative. I'd ally myself more with Libertarianism. I would have voted for Ron Paul back in 2008 if I could have. I realized back in 2012 that Liberals and Conservatives are just 2 sides of the same shit-soaked coin that ended up being flushed down the toilet into the sewer. People who say one side is better than the other seem a touch ignorant of the times to me. Note I did not say dumb, I just believe they're ill informed. Neither side is good for our nation.

Or should I say the United States instead of America? I can never keep up with all this political correctness malarkey.

And you shouldn't ever.

Yeah but since it looks like @Mr Fish 's dream is coming true and Hillary Clintoris will be our next Idiot in office, I'm gonna have to learn the abcs of political correctness. Lord knows she's already bending her knee to the SJW/BLM crowd as we speak.

Then again it doesn't really matter who gets office in 2016, they're all crap. Unless Ron Paul magically flies in on a carpet and saves the day.

Not a chance in hell.

Not a chance in hell.

Maybe it'll be Trump, but even if it is Trump, the problem is no one on the top shelf like him. None of the Democrats like him, and Hell, 3/4ths of the Republican Congress/Senate don't like him. With that in mind, where's he going to get the votes to pass any of his legislation? That's the main issue I have for people saying Trump will change this nation. He isn't going to change shit because he will have pretty much 0 support once in office. To get those bills through you gotta have Congress and the Senate on your side. Trump has neither from either party government-wise. In this instance We, the people doesn't mean a goddamn thing, it's all about who's on top.

Or you were being sarcastic and that just went completely over my head.

There is no best nation in this fucking world. There are more than 200 sovereign nations, what kind of ego must you have to declare your nation as the best on this whole planet.
Being critical about your nation =/= hating it. Just because you love your nation unconditinally, doesn't make you a patriot.
People like Wayne Morse are patriots.

It's impossible to say which nation is the best anyway, what do you define as best here anyway? Do we go by liberty? Well, the Swiss have a direct democracy. What about living standards? Again Switzerland is on top, followed by Sweden, Germany. Or how about safety? Here again Switzerland is in the list, then you have Finnland, New Zealand and on top, Iceland.

A lot of american people slowly realize this, if the US has ever been the best, it definetly isn't anymore. And if you think that to cry murder and war, and supporting racism is well, patriotism because that is what I am talking about, not people that love their nation, well then I am sorry, that is somewhat fascistic in my opinion. Because you can STILL love your nation AND be critical about what happens in politics or with the economy.

I'm actually a Bernie supporter. But I'm Swedish so my support doesn't really matter as I can't vote.

That's because for European Standards Bernie would be a normal politican, only in the landscape of US politics would a person like Bernie be called a socialist, a communist even. As far as European politics is concerned, Bernie isn't really anything special in that regard.

*Before someone get's the idea, I am not a supporter of Bernie, I just don't see what all the fuss is about.

The voice in the video (that OP posted) is Alan Watts (i'm pretty sure), who was an alcoholic and didn't live in the internet era, so i understand his grievances, but they sound a bit tacky.

I'm the opinion that once he's in office he'll hew pretty closely to the Republican agenda. That he is anything but the anti-establishment "outsider" that some people pretend that he is. He just isn't bright enough to have his own ideas. It's like the Tea Party pretending it's the radical reformist movement, when it's just neocons being neocons as usual.
