What is your job/occupation?

Qualified as a mechanical engineer, worked in the nuclear industry for a short while, then went back to uni to do a PhD. I'm just writing up now, hopefully finished in the new year

I think is scary that a 'cop' would defend something like showing nazi imagery as thats borderline illgeal stuff that if they found you could lose your job over it

I am also, as a hobbu, learning blacksmithing so i can armor for larp nerds and actual combat ready armor for SCA and HEMA.
i always wanted to wear a plate, like the one that jeanne d'arc wearing. Still, i found full mail sufficient since i am rather a..short person

I work in a furniture mill. I don't like it so much, but it makes something and beats a fast food restaurant anyday.

Just imagine all the homes that are going to have furniture because of your work. Also, I have a lot of respect for people who work at fast food restaurants, just don't whine about the fact your job sucks, we know it sucks, that's why they gave it to you, someone has to do it and is not going to be the guy who actually knows how to make furniture. Learning how to make cofee and wipe floors are the first skills to learn in our current job market.

Furniture makers get so much more value out of one kilo of wood then, say, a paper mill. Paper mills make cardboard, toilet paper, etc. Bulk products. Imagine how much more a furniture made by hands, ought to be worth per kilo of wood used? If a company like IKEA makes a bundle, hand made furniture should be much more premium priced.

I'm actually looking for antique/hand made/vintage stuff now, furniture etc.

I am currently a environmental technician that owns and runs a recycling centre for a 10c refund scheme for consumable beverages which we process around 24 million items a year. Also have another business operating out of the same location which supplies an imported paving product from Malaysia which I sell locally and supply around Australia.

Previously I did network design for local government.

I am a shopkeeper of a small hardware store, before that i was a farming hand working in an agriculture testing facility run by the government.
Back there, you will have to renewal your job contract with them every year, and they only pay you for minimum wage, they do pay for your health insurance(not in full) and give you fresh fruits and vegetables every once a while though.
