What Makes A Good Fallout Game?

Easy, he is your wife.
It's not meant to make sense, it's meant to be surreal.

I tried to be avant-garde god dammit

I'm straight, that wouldn't stop me writing butt sex with you.

I have been mostly out of NMA for two days and in that time this thread got totally derailed. :lmao:

Well the bloody mess perk was cool part of the classic fallout games. I hated that it made you character

Shoot the overseer in the back

At the end. Because I hadn't been playing that sorta character up until that point. But the 3d fallout games (all of them including NV) have a poor substitute for that perk... Now plasma turns people into green goo? That's cartoonish an stupid. What plasma did in the classics was horrifying.

Classic Fallout games had a lot of artistic vision and true passion put into it, the technology was very unique(a lot of people say it's a retro futuristic but I strongly disagree, it's actually a mix of different styles) humor of the game is heavily inspired by real life events, like a demonization of Soviet Union and constant propaganda in American culture during the 50s 60s about nuclear threat, thus you have very alive and dark humor which is unmatched by any game. Then the characters and most importantly YOU, devs did great effort in making you feel like a super hero , you was mysterious because you could not tell anything about the place you came from and what is your goal, you're like a tough wasteland wanderer with no purpose carrying great mission and responsibility on your shoulders, dialogs was smart and complex, the karma system was amazing especially in the first Fallout game, OH AND MY GOD IT HAD BALLS IT HAD NONE OF THAT SISSY POLITICAL CORRECTNESS CRAP YOU WHERE FREE TO DO ANYTHING(i mean the devs actually spend time to give you options) it had children in the game, sex, prostitution, drugs, gambling and slavery, it was you choice and consequences.
But most important thing is that the developers actually took a lot of inspiration from cult classic movies and books, THEY KNEW POST APOCALYPTIC GENRE VERY WELL AND THEY LOVED IT, it always reminds me of dark souls developer, the game was awesome, deep, and unique because he was inspired from childhood by the Western folklore and mythologies he too was very familiar with his stuff

i realize that , western folklore fanfiction done by a nihonjin is really depressing than some polish guy ever done before

Yes it is very depressing and sad at times, but I always enjoyed the beauty he found and the depth he could implement into a game by telling his tale through mysterious and complicated middle age- knights sense of honor, the game breaths life and vision even if it's basically the end of the world theme with some horrid imagery, now that's a game design!!! Plus he added those little touches where you can actually emotionally interact with the world which is a must have feature in an RPG, as I said he knew his stuff just like Tim Cain did
