What TV shows are a cut above the rest, and why?

Arrested Development

Allright, pretty decent show.

Supercrap. Every damn episode is the same, D.J or whatever the hell that dickless queers name is, screws up and that Dr Whatshisname yells at him. They might as well show reruns of the pilot everyday.

X-men ripoff.

Total letdown. I expected to see a gritty Falloutish milieu, but instead I got "Dawsons Creek á la Oppenheimer".

I wouldn't waste my time watching a show where 70 % of the dialogue consists of the word "fuck".

But don't mind me, I'm just very cranky when it comes to television. Personally, I only watch The Shield and Rescue Me, that's it.

Monty Pythons flying circus, Benny Hill, Fawlty Towers and Firefly are frequently recurring series that I watch, though that's about it - occasionally I watch Comedy Store.

Yeah, both of those are pretty good shows, The Shield in particular. The continuing story of how the Latino captain got mouth raped and over coming it is freaking hilarious, if unintentional.

Got the "Flight of the Concordes" DVD and CD for Christmas. I'm a very happy man.

I am old enough to remember Hill Street Blues, St. Elsewhere, and Twin Peaks. I hated all of them. I also hate Lost. Now Magnum, PI - that was a great show.
