I havnt been on this site before, but what is up with all the hate for f4? I feel your hate is very in unneeded, and this place is incredibly salty.
Fallout 4 destroys everything the previous games (yes, I'm including F3 in this) set up to do.
It also sets back everything Bethesda has spent their time since Arena working on.
As much as I've said shit about Skyrim in the past, and as streamlined as that game is, there is still an element of Bethesda is there, an old Bethesda that actually cared about its games. Skyrim is by no means an excellent game, but something I can at least enjoy every now and then.
F4 takes away any promise that game was leading to and instead just becomes a generic AAA game.
There was a good video that summed it all up, F4 is an insult to both Fallout Fans and Bethesda Fans.
Your all practically living in the past, worshipping the 2 first games
Okay, I played F1 after I completed F4, I was rather concerned with F4 pretty much within an hour of playing the game. Not only that, but I was 3 when the first game came out, so unless I played Fallout when I could barely shit in a toilet by myself, I don't think I'm living in the past. In fact, I hadn't heard of Fallout until F3. Most of my opinions on F4 fell from F4, a game which came out less than six years ago. Both games feel so completely different in both tonne and themes that I can barely put them in the same series. I've not even completed F2 yet, but from what I've played, it appears to be a step up to the first game. All we expect as gamers is for a company to not treat us like idiots and let a series progress naturally. What annoys me the most is that I'm playing through Morrowind now and I can tell within a few hours that Bethesda knows how to do their games better.
In fact, the Elder Scrolls are of a considerably higher quality than F3&4 which tells me that Bethesda sees the Fallout IP as nothing more than a way to release a Tech Demo and make considerable amounts of cash from it.
