I havnt been on this site before, but what is up with all the hate for f4? I feel your hate is very in unneeded, and this place is incredibly salty.

Just a fair warning here: People create one off accounts and say "Why do You guys h8 FO4?". 9/10 times they turn out to be trolls. Not saying you are, but you will be accused of such very quickly.

I disagree, I thought that Fallout 4 deserves all the hate it gets. It butchers the RPG mechanics of Fallout greatly, limiting you to 4 dialogue options at a time , none of what you say matters, you're basically railroaded the entire game, every single quest is a combat-quest, with no alternatives, pretty much every perk is only useful in combat or in preparing for combat. Fallout was once defined mainly by it's Roleplay and Dialogue, aspects which FO4 utterly fails in

What's wrong with that?, The First 2 games were excellent games, and neither Fallout 3 nor 4 comes anywhere close to them IMO. And "Living In the past" implies that Future = Better, when really with lots of franchises, the games get worse as time goes a long(Fallout as a prime example)

Oh, another thread asking HURR Y ALL DA HAET instead of spending half an hour browsing the threads and maybe educating oneself. Meh/10, troll harder.

Yes and no. Our hate is perfectly needed as we are people, and people have opinions. Are all negative opinions unneeded and only positive opinions are needed?

You're*

Also you forgot about New Vegas, Van Buren, and sometimes Tactics.

And since you're probably a troll, I'll give you a well educated response instead of simply bashing FO4.

And I hate how people interpret "living in the past" as always being a bad thing. We're not living in the past, we simply enjoy the classics much more than the watered down, over hyped, disappointments of the recent entries to our favorite series of post apocalyptic roleplaying shooters with choices that truly matter.

What the fuck? Since when a negative opinion is considered "hate"? Are you ten? Take your bait somewhere else.

Fallout 4 destroys everything the previous games (yes, I'm including F3 in this) set up to do.
It also sets back everything Bethesda has spent their time since Arena working on.
As much as I've said shit about Skyrim in the past, and as streamlined as that game is, there is still an element of Bethesda is there, an old Bethesda that actually cared about its games. Skyrim is by no means an excellent game, but something I can at least enjoy every now and then.
F4 takes away any promise that game was leading to and instead just becomes a generic AAA game.
There was a good video that summed it all up, F4 is an insult to both Fallout Fans and Bethesda Fans.

Okay, I played F1 after I completed F4, I was rather concerned with F4 pretty much within an hour of playing the game. Not only that, but I was 3 when the first game came out, so unless I played Fallout when I could barely shit in a toilet by myself, I don't think I'm living in the past. In fact, I hadn't heard of Fallout until F3. Most of my opinions on F4 fell from F4, a game which came out less than six years ago. Both games feel so completely different in both tonne and themes that I can barely put them in the same series. I've not even completed F2 yet, but from what I've played, it appears to be a step up to the first game. All we expect as gamers is for a company to not treat us like idiots and let a series progress naturally. What annoys me the most is that I'm playing through Morrowind now and I can tell within a few hours that Bethesda knows how to do their games better.
In fact, the Elder Scrolls are of a considerably higher quality than F3&4 which tells me that Bethesda sees the Fallout IP as nothing more than a way to release a Tech Demo and make considerable amounts of cash from it.

Yea I don't get it. Fallout 4 is an absolute gem of this current next gen gaming utopia we are living in. It's rich landscape filled to the brim with story and intrigue packed tightly with some of the most memorable characters of gaming. I think everyone here is just a bitter old basement dweller whose upset that their archaic and frankly puerile tastes are no longer catered to. Stop living in the past you tasteless virgins and experience the providence that is Fallout 4's exquisite story - no not story. Fallout 4's EXPERIENCE.

Crazy, people having differing opinions. This is most likely my least favorite tendency of fans: Avoiding any and all criticisms. OK, so you like the game, hurray for you. Why do you care so much that others don't feel the same? What's next, we gotta all wear the same uniform and be carbon copies of each other? How boring. How dull. Try and place yourself in the shoes of someone that doesn't think the way you do. You might be surprised by seeing things from another point of view.

I really cannot tell if you are being sarcastic or just ignorant of facts. I'm gonna go with sarcasm. If you're serious, maybe you're confusing utopia with dystopia :P
